The Phoenix TX-2500 is a 12V, 230Ah flooded tall-tubular deep-cycle battery — the biggest-selling large SKU in Phoenix's Power Cube series, built for UPS and hybrid-solar banks that ride through daily load-shedding. As of 2 August 2026 it listed for Rs 45,000 to Rs 74,000 across eight retailers, with W11Stop's same-day-updated price at Rs 62,500 — the same battery, a 64% spread, and the single most important fact about buying one.

It stores 2.76kWh nameplate (about 2.2kWh usable at the rated 80% depth of discharge), weighs 63kg acid-filled, and carries a one-year replacement warranty on every listing we checked.

Specifications

The 1250-cycles-at-80%-DoD rating appears consistently across retailer listings, but Phoenix's official site publishes no TX-series datasheet to confirm it (checked 2 August 2026) — treat it as the market's number, not the factory's.

Honest assessment

Pros. The most usable energy per rupee in Phoenix's flooded lineup: at the Rs 45,000-55,000 street end (2 August 2026) it undercut every name-brand 230Ah rival we found — Osaka Pro 230 at Rs 51,000 (sale), Exide TR-2500 at Rs 52,000, AGS EC-3000 at Rs 60,300-69,180. Same footprint as the TX-1800 (510×190mm), so upgrading a bank rarely means rebuilding the rack. Nationwide dealer availability and a locally made replacement a rickshaw-ride away.

Cons. The price chaos cuts both ways: pay list at the wrong shop and the same battery costs more than a premium AGS. The cycle rating rests entirely on retailer pages — Century Engineering publishes neither datasheet nor price list. At 63kg it is a genuine two-man lift. And the warranty fine print (water levels, no post-installation leakage claims) gives the dealer plenty of refusal room if maintenance lapses.

Who should buy. Households and small shops running 1.5-3kW hybrid inverters through multi-hour daily outages, who want maximum flooded-battery backup per rupee and will do the water top-ups. Anyone sizing a new 24V/48V bank above ~Rs 250,000 total should price a LiFePO4 bank first — the lifetime math below usually favors it.

Pakistan reality check

The dealer spread, in numbers. On 2 August 2026 the TX-2500 was simultaneously listed at Rs 45,000, Rs 52,000-60,000, Rs 55,000, Rs 55,999 (sale), Rs 62,500, Rs 67,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 74,000 (list). With no manufacturer list price in existence, the "Rs 74,000 reduced to Rs 55,999" framing is pure anchor theatre. Treat Rs 52,000-63,000 as the fair-deal corridor established by the mid-market on that date, ask whether the quote assumes old-battery exchange (scrap lead value is often silently priced in), and get the warranty duration written on the invoice.

Cycle life at real Pakistani depth of discharge. 1250 cycles at 80% DoD is a lab number at moderate temperature. A bank that gets flattened to inverter cutoff through every evening outage lives at that hard end, and a battery corner that sits at 40C+ all summer ages plates faster than any rating anticipates — plan for 3-4 years of daily-cycling service, treat anything more as a bonus. Water and installation. Flooded and unsealed: distilled-water checks every two to four weeks in summer, ventilated placement, and clean series connections with matched cable lengths. Warranty claim reality. Every listing quotes "one year as per company policy," and the conditions we could read (OneStopMall, 2 August 2026) exclude leakage after installation and require maintained water levels. Claims route through the selling dealer against the stamped card — which is why the cheapest quote from a shop you cannot find again in month eight may be the most expensive battery you ever bought.
