Editorial policy

We sell no hardware and we take no money for rankings, ever — those two rules are the reason this site exists, because every price site a Pakistani buyer currently lands on is run by someone selling panels. Everything below is what we hold ourselves to, in the order that matters to a reader.

Policy last reviewed 26 July 2026.

1. We do not sell hardware

SolarNevs does not sell, import, install or broker panels, inverters, batteries, vehicles or any other equipment covered on this site. We have no dealer relationship, no stock, and nothing to move. When we publish a price it is the price we found, not the price we want you to pay.

2. Rankings and verdicts are not for sale

No brand, dealer, importer or installer can pay to appear on this site, to appear higher on it, to be added to a comparison, or to be removed from one. There is no rate card for a verdict and there never will be one. If somebody tells you they can get a product onto our pages for a fee, they are lying to you and we would like to hear about it.

Order in our tables is set by the data — price, spec, date — and stated on the page. Where a product is ranked at all, the page says what the ranking is measuring.

3. Sponsorship, if we ever take it

We take no sponsorship today. Our own business plan does contemplate sponsored placements on brand pages in a later phase, so rather than pretend otherwise, here are the conditions that would apply from the first rupee:

4. Affiliate links

Affiliate revenue is in our plan — marketplace commissions on smaller items such as e-bikes and chargers — and it is not live yet. No link on this site currently carries an affiliate tag or earns us a commission. Where you see a link to a marketplace or a retailer today, it is there because that page was the source we verified a price against, and it is cited for that reason alone.

When affiliate links do go live, they will follow the same rules as sponsorship:

5. Advertising

There is no advertising on this site today. If display advertising is ever introduced it will be confined to guide pages, clearly separated from editorial content, and never placed inside a price table. Performance is part of the policy, not separate from it: this site loads with no web fonts and no tracking client-side JavaScript, and an ad unit that changes that does not ship.

6. Corrections

We publish our mistakes. Every figure we have printed and had to change is logged, dated, with what was wrong and how it was caught, in the correction log. Our commitments:

7. Reporting an error

If a number on this site is wrong, tell us. The most useful report names the page, the figure you are disputing, and where your figure comes from — a dealer quote with a city and a date is ideal, and a link to a listing is nearly as good.

Our published contact route is being set up and will appear on the about page as soon as it is live. Until then, a report that reaches us is handled the same way as any other claim: it goes down the verification ladder, and if it holds up, the page changes and the correction is logged.

8. Who writes this

Pages carry a byline and a last-checked date. Research on this site is produced by a desk working to the protocol on how we verify, with a second researcher re-checking high-stakes claims from scratch. Who we are is on the about page.
