Solar & EV Guides for the United States (August 2026)

The federal picture changed twice in 2025. The residential clean energy credit cannot be claimed for expenditures made after 31 December 2025, and the federal new and used EV credits ended for vehicles acquired after 30 September 2025. These guides work from the IRS and DOE wording rather than a vendor’s summary of it, because the difference between "paid" and "installed" is what decides whether a 2026 filer gets anything.

What survives is state-level: credits, rebates and exemptions that each run their own eligibility test, funding cycle and closing date. Several are already exhausted for the year — the guides say so where that is true instead of listing a programme that cannot pay out.

361 guides published. Methodology as everywhere on this site: how we verify.
