Risen N-Type TOPCon Bifacial 580-585W

This is Risen's n-type TOPCon bifacial module in the 580-585W class — the only Risen panel with a stable, repeated street price in Pakistan. As of 26 July 2026 it costs Rs 25,115-25,155 per panel, about Rs 43 per watt, quoted at that level by two independent Pakistani price lists. It is a dual-glass bifacial panel using n-type TOPCon cells, and Pakistani sellers list it plainly as "Risen 585W N-Type Bifacial" with no model code attached.

Specifications

A caution on the model code: Risen's own current TOPCon catalogue lists modules by cell count — TOPCon 132 at 630Wp, TOPCon 108 at 515Wp, TOPCon 96 at 455Wp — none of which is 585W. The catalogued Risen model that matches the Pakistani wattage is the older 144-cell RSM144-9-560-585BNDG. Ask which one you are actually being sold, because the specification table above only applies to the model on the label.

Honest assessment

Pros. N-type TOPCon is the right cell technology for Pakistan: better temperature behaviour than PERC, lower light-induced degradation, and a 30-year power warranty on paper. The dual-glass build resists the humidity-driven backsheet failures that kill cheap single-glass panels in coastal Sindh. Risen is a BloombergNEF Tier 1 supplier, so the factory behind the warranty is a real one.

Cons. The price is the problem. At Rs 43/W this panel is at the top of Jinko's July 2026 band and above JA Solar and Trina, which is a hard sell for a brand with far less local presence. Neither of Pakistan's two main price trackers lists Risen at all, so you have no independent daily benchmark to negotiate against. And no Pakistani seller found publishes a model code, efficiency figure or warranty term for it — you are buying a wattage and a brand name, which is exactly the situation relabellers exploit.

Who should buy. Buyers who have been offered documented stock at or below roughly Rs 40/W, or who need panels this week and find Jinko and JA out of stock. At Rs 43/W with no serial-matched flash-test report, walk.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. At -0.29%/°C, a 40°C rise over test conditions — normal on a Punjab rooftop in June — costs about 12% of nameplate, so a 585W panel delivers around 517W at the array. That is normal for TOPCon and better than PERC's roughly 14%. Soiling costs more than the cell technology does: without cleaning every 2-4 weeks in the dry season, dust losses will dwarf any brand-to-brand difference.

Documents versus non-documents. Documented panels come with import paperwork, a warranty card and a serial-traceable invoice and cost a few rupees per watt more. Undocumented stock cannot be warranty-registered and cannot be graded. With Risen, where the local channel is small and the paper trail short, non-documented stock is a materially worse bet than it is with the volume brands.

Counterfeit check — do this every time. Genuine modules carry a serial laser-etched inside the glass laminate. A barcode printed on a paper sticker on the frame or backsheet proves nothing at all; those sheets are printed locally. Match the in-glass serial to the sticker and to the invoice. Then demand the factory flash-test report covering your exact serials — a real importer has these files, and each panel's measured wattage should land within tolerance of nameplate. Have the importer confirm the serials with Risen before delivery. A "585W N-type" quoted far below Rs 38/W in July 2026 is the classic bait.

Warranty claim reality. Fifteen years product and thirty years power are Risen's terms, not your dealer's. Any claim in Pakistan is executed by the importer who landed the container; if they close, the warranty is decoration. Keep the invoice, photographs of the in-glass serials and the datasheet PDF in one place, and prefer sellers with years of verifiable trading history.

The Risen 585W at Rs 25,115-25,155 is the priciest of the four, so treat any Risen quote as a starting point rather than a deal. If your dealer will not move toward Rs 40/W on documented stock with flash-test reports, the same money buys a Jinko or JA panel with a deeper local warranty chain behind it.
