BMS pairing. This is where cheap lithium installs die. The pack speaks RS485/CAN; Fronus hybrids are the supported pairing, and Voltronic-family, Inverex, and Deye pairings are common in the field. But a battery left on a wrong or generic protocol reports wrong SOC, overcharges, or trips offline — the classic tubular-to-lithium upgrade failure. Insist the dealer confirms your exact inverter model and firmware, and have the installer show you the protocol handshake working (SOC visible on the inverter screen) before signing off.
