Jolta Electric Electric Bikes & Scooters

Jolta Electric is a Lahore-based e-bike manufacturer that describes itself as "Pakistan's first EV bike manufacturer." As of 26 July 2026, its verified current lineup runs from Rs 144,900 (Sparrow) up to roughly Rs 278,900-289,900 (JE-100L SE Apex, retail vs PAVE-scheme pricing) across at least 14 named models.

Jolta is a real, actively-selling brand with a real factory and four showroom cities — not a paper listing. But researching it surfaces more unresolved conflicts than most brands in this catalog: a founder history that doesn't reconcile with current leadership, a battery chemistry the manufacturer won't specify, a flagship model whose own page won't quote a price, and a currently-compromised official website. None of that means Jolta is a scam. It means a buyer should read the fine print below before wiring money.

Who actually runs Jolta Electric

Jolta's own site currently names Shahzaib Amjad as Managing Director, Dr Mohammad Amjad as CEO, and Zohaib Amjad and Jahanzaib Amjad as Directors — an apparent family group (About Us page, joltaelectric.com, fetched 26 July 2026). That is a different story from a Dawn/Aurora magazine interview published in 2021, which names Usman Sheikh and Mohammad Azeem as co-founders who say they helped draft Pakistan's 2019 EV policy and personally obtained the country's first EV manufacturing license in March 2021.

We found no source — on Jolta's own site or anywhere else — that reconciles these two leadership pictures. It's possible the company changed hands or restructured; we don't know, and we're not going to invent a connecting narrative. Treat "co-founded 2017 by Sheikh and Azeem" and "run in 2026 by the Amjad family" as two separately-sourced facts, not one continuous company history. What is consistent: Jolta's HQ sits on the 13th Floor, Askari Corporate Tower, Gulberg III, Lahore, with a factory at 3km Sue Asil Road, Lahore (About Us page, fetched 26 July 2026).

A live security concern on Jolta's own site

We need to flag this plainly rather than bury it. When we fetched joltaelectric.com's own product pages on 26 July 2026 to verify the specs and prices below, at least two pages we checked — Neo and JE-100L Thunder — carried injected spam content: casino and betting keywords ("Pin-Up casino," "1win," "Plinko," aviator-game references) embedded in the page structure and footer, consistent with a site compromise rather than anything Jolta itself would publish.

The genuine product content underneath — prices, specs, warranty terms — reads as intact, and we have used it as a source on that basis. But given that Jolta's own PAVE-scheme financing workflow (below) asks buyers to send a bank pay-order confirmation through the site, we recommend confirming prices and payment details by phone or in person at a showroom, and re-checking the site's status yourself before relying on it for anything beyond reading specs. This is a live condition that could change by the time you read this — good or bad.

Storm, Storm Pro, Neo Pro, Zeno, Zeno Pro, Mecha, JE-70G Wolf, JE-70L Fury, JE-70L SE Bolt, JE-100L SE Apex, JE-100G Flux

Rs 120,000-289,900 range (unverified per-SKU this batch)

Named on joltaelectric.com's own menu; not yet individually re-priced and spec-checked to our two-source bar

We built full pages for the three SKUs with the strongest data: Sparrow (clean three-way price match), Neo (a worth-disclosing manufacturer-vs-retailer price split), and JE-100L Thunder (the flagship, and the one with the most open questions). The remaining 11 named models are actively sold per the same sources, but not yet individually re-verified to the two-source bar this catalog holds itself to.

Aero and Aero Pro are deliberately excluded. The three retail-listing sites we checked disagree wildly on price — Aero Pro shows Rs 309,900 (Priceoye), Rs 240,000 (PakWheels) and Rs 210,000 (Gari.pk), a spread exceeding Rs 99,000 for the same nameplate. Rather than pick one figure, we're holding these two SKUs back until a dealer-direct check resolves the gap.

Priceoye's entire Jolta category page is flagged "COMING SOON" with a 09 October 2025 "Expected Price" stamp, even though its prices happen to match other current sources for several models. We treat it as a stale, pre-launch snapshot, never one of our two required independent sources — only a supporting datapoint.

Correcting the docs/04 baseline: our internal catalog notes had Jolta down as a flat "Rs 149.9-270K" band with no model names. Checked directly, the real price band is wider on both ends — the verified floor (Sparrow, Rs 144,900) sits below the old 149.9K low end, and the verified premium tier (JE-100L SE Apex, Rs 278,900-289,900 depending on retail vs PAVE pricing) sits above the old 270K high end — and Jolta sells at least 14 distinct named SKUs, not an unnamed band, confirmed via the manufacturer's own site menu plus three independent PK retail-listing sites.

Battery reality: "Graphene" branding, lead-acid-shaped questions

Jolta labels the battery packs on Sparrow, Neo, Neo Pro, Storm Pro and Mecha as "Graphene" on its own product pages, with no chemistry detail given beyond that name. Jolta Electric Motors' own site separately carries a "Dry Gel" (lead-acid gel) product line, confirming lead-acid technology is still part of the company's standing range.

Independent battery-industry explainers describe "graphene battery" marketing in the e-bike/e-scooter segment as typically an enhanced lead-acid formulation, not true lithium — the same multi-year degradation profile as ordinary lead-acid, despite the premium-sounding name. We found no independent teardown or certificate confirming the actual cell chemistry inside any specific Jolta model. Adding to the confusion: the JE-100L Thunder's own manufacturer page leaves its battery-chemistry field blank (unlike Sparrow and Neo, which say "Graphene"), while PakWheels' listing for the same bike states "Lithium Iron Phosphate (Li-ion)" — a claim the manufacturer itself does not make. See the JE-100L Thunder page for the full detail.

Older-generation JE-70D owner reports (below) describe battery failure within roughly 5 months / 1,750 km — a pattern consistent with lead-acid-style early death, not lithium-typical longevity. We don't know whether the current Graphene-generation packs behave differently; no independent multi-year test has surfaced either way.

{/* VERIFY: independent teardown or lab test confirming actual cell chemistry (lithium vs enhanced lead-acid) for any current Jolta Graphene-branded model — none found as of 2026-07-26 */}

Warranty: paper terms vs. one documented bad experience

Jolta's own current product pages state 20 months on Sparrow, Neo, Neo Pro and Storm Pro, and 24 months on the JE-100L Thunder (fetched 26 July 2026, confirmed via a direct warranty-field check).

Against that paper warranty, PakWheels owner reviews for the older, lead-acid-era JE-70D — not the current Graphene generation — tell a different story. One owner writes: "Battery warrantee is only 3 months, mine failed in 5th month after driving only 1750 KM," with a dealer-quoted no-warranty replacement battery at Rs 27,500 (an aftermarket unit ran Rs 16,000). A second owner, based in Lahore — Jolta's own home city — writes: "I have not found any repair, maintenance outlet in Lahore... not satisfied with after-sale response."

These describe the older JE-70D, not Sparrow, Neo or the Thunder, and may not reflect current parts availability or service quality. But they are the only owner-reported warranty-claim data we found for this brand, and deserve to be seen alongside the manufacturer's own numbers, not hidden behind them.

Known issues flagged, not all confirmed

  • Early battery failure on an older JE-70D unit: failed at 5 months / 1,750 km, expensive no-warranty replacement. Generation-specific — see caveat above.
  • Thin repair/service access reported by a Lahore-based JE-70D owner, despite Lahore being Jolta's home city.
  • Reduced acceleration carrying two riders — one PakWheels review mentions this for the JE-70D. Single-source, unconfirmed elsewhere. {/* VERIFY */}
  • Battery-enclosure waterproofing and overcharge/heat risk — a general PK e-bike issues roundup (horsepower.com.pk) flags these sector-wide; it does not name Jolta specifically, so we are not attributing it to Jolta by name. {/* VERIFY */}

Installment financing and the PAVE / PM e-bike scheme

Jolta runs its own PAVE Scheme workflow page (checked 26 July 2026): a buyer chooses Self-Finance or Bank Lease, pays via a Meezan Bank (Davis Road, Lahore) pay order or deposit into account 1152 0105077960 (IBAN PK83 MEZN 0011 5201 0507 7960), couriers the documents to the Lahore showroom, then receives delivery in a stated 30-60 days after verification.

PAVE-listed prices run Rs 3,000-10,000 above the same-named models' open-market retail prices found on PakWheels and Gari.pk:

Model (PAVE-eligible)

PAVE price

Open-market retail (where confirmed)

JE-70L "Urban"

Rs 237,900

Not independently re-verified this batch

JE-70L SE "Bolt"

Rs 279,900

Not independently re-verified this batch

JE-100L "Daily Ride"

Rs 242,900

Rs 239,900 (JE-100L / Thunder, see caveat on that page)

JE-100L SE "Apex"

Rs 289,900

Not independently re-verified this batch

Jolta's own Facebook page (post dated 11 December 2025) announced delivery of its "first PAVE Scheme bike" with a promotional Rs 80,000 cashback tied to the bank pay-order route — matching the federal PM e-bike scheme subsidy amount (shared/docs/01-market-intelligence.md §4). Given the site-compromise issue flagged above, we'd suggest confirming the bank account details by phone with the Lahore showroom directly before sending any pay order.

Service network

Jolta's own showrooms page (checked 26 July 2026) lists four cities: Lahore (HQ, factory and showroom), **Karachi (Showroom No. 10, Amber Tower, PECHS, Main Shahrah-e-Faisal), **Faisalabad (opposite Sui Gas Society, Sargodha Road), and **Islamabad/Rawalpindi* (Al-Bilal Market, Main G.T. Road). We could not verify the commonly-repeated marketing line that Jolta is "sold in over 100 cities" — only these four concrete addresses are independently confirmed. {/ VERIFY */}

Where to go next

Each linked model page below carries its own dated price verification, a full spec table, an honest pros/cons assessment, and named rivals for price context.

  • Jolta Sparrow — Rs 144,900, the cleanest three-way price match in this lineup.
  • Jolta Neo — Rs 174,900-179,900, a genuine, unresolved manufacturer-vs-retailer price split.
  • Jolta JE-100L (Thunder) — Rs 239,900, the flagship, and the model with the most open questions: no manufacturer-quoted price, an unlabeled battery chemistry, and a disputed range figure.

SolarNevs sells no e-bikes and takes no commission from Jolta or its dealers.
