The price, and how it was verified

w11stop.com listed the unit at Rs 272,000, in stock, "updated on July 26, 2026" — fetched that day via Bright Data unlocker after the site had bot-walled every earlier attempt. A January 18, 2026 search snippet showed the same Rs 272,000, so by that snippet's account the price has held for roughly six months. The figure rests on a single retailer fetch — solarprice.pk remains unreachable — and is published pending second-source corroboration. {/* VERIFY */}

One trap to avoid: a Pakistani price-index site lists a "Crown Elego Oyster IP66 6kW" at Rs 255,000 — a different SKU with a different ingress rating, not a price for this unit. Weigh the Rs 272,000 against the IP21 Elego at Rs 150,000–190,000 (verified 2026-07-25) to judge whether the outdoor rating and the longer comprehensive warranty justify the premium.

Verified from two Crown primary documents — the ELEGO-6KW-IP65 datasheet and the Crown Micro Elego 6KW IP-65 user manual (both fetched 2026-07-25).

Crown contradicts itself on this model

The datasheet says 7,000 W of PV at up to 500 VDC; the user manual's specification table says 6,500 W at up to 550 VDC open-circuit. They cannot both describe the same hardware revision, so design to the conservative pair — 6,500 W of array against a 500 VDC ceiling, safe under either document — and get the dealer to put your unit's revision on the invoice. Over-voltage on this platform is not theoretical: Crown's Elego troubleshooting table lists Faults 11 and 59 as PV voltage over limitation, with the remedy of reducing the number of modules in series.

Honest assessment

What holds up. This is the best-specified Crown SolarNevs verified. IP65 means it can go on an outside wall; -25 °C to 50 °C means it survives a Murree winter as well as a Sindh summer; the RS485 BMS port is the only battery-communication hardware Crown documents anywhere in its range; and the warranty split — 3 years comprehensive plus 2 years service — is triple the parts cover of the IP21 Elego. Transfer time, MPPT window and input current are all a step above the indoor unit.

What does not.

1. Priced against a stronger rival. At Rs 272,000 (verified 26 July 2026) it lands within Rs 8,000 of the Inverex Nitrox 6.6kW's Rs 275,000–280,000, which ships two MPPT trackers and a ten-city service network.
2. Crown's own documents disagree on PV ceiling and maximum Voc.
3. Still one MPPT tracker. More current and a wider window than the IP21, but a single tracker on a 6 kW hybrid in 2026 is behind rivals that ship two.
4. The BMS port names no protocol. RS485 hardware exists; a supported battery list does not.
5. No Pakistan grid profile listed among the pre-set feed-in regulation windows.
6. 22.5 kg and 665 mm tall. Nearly double the IP21's weight and half again its height — a two-person mount with real structural fixings.

Owner feedback: none exists for this SKU. No first-hand Pakistani owner review of the IP65 variant could be sourced on 2026-07-25, and none is invented here. The brand-level signals apply: the Crown Monitor app scored 1.9 out of 5 from 61 ratings on the Pakistan App Store with no release since 01/07/2024, and Crown's fault codes 08, 09, 53 and 57 are classed by Crown itself as internal failures requiring a repair centre.

Who should buy it. A buyer who genuinely needs outdoor mounting or sub-zero tolerance, who can get a written quote from a dealer the Crown branches will honour, and who values three years of parts cover. Who should not: anyone who can mount indoors — the IP21 Elego does the same electrical job at a verifiable Rs 150,000–190,000 — and anyone buying on price without a written quote in hand.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and weather. IP65 and -25 °C to 50 °C are the two specifications that justify this model's existence in Pakistan: it is the Crown you can put on a north wall in Lahore or a shaded outdoor bay in Karachi rather than surrendering indoor floor space. IP65 does not mean "mount it in direct sun" — thermal derating is still real, and Crown's Fault 02 over-temperature threshold does not move because the box is sealed.

Dust. A sealed enclosure removes the monthly anti-dust-kit chore that the Xavier manuals prescribe, which in Punjab and Sindh is a genuine maintenance advantage.

Grid instability. 90–280 VAC input, auto-restart behaviour and sub-10 ms UPS transfer cover ordinary Pakistani supply. The unresolved item is export: the pre-set feed-in windows are Indian, German and South American, and no NEPRA profile is listed. Counterfeits and dealer risk. No counterfeit Crown reports surfaced on 2026-07-25. The risk here is commercial: the Rs 272,000 anchor rests on one retailer, and Crown publishes no serial-verification portal. Get two written quotes, confirm the plate reads ELEGO-6KW-IP65 or EOI-6KW-IP65, and confirm the PV ceiling revision before paying.

The Inverex Nitrox 6.6kW is the natural cross-brand benchmark for an outdoor-rated 6 kW hybrid in Pakistan, and at Rs 272,000 the Crown sits within Rs 8,000 of it — a comparison that is not flattering to Crown, since the Nitrox carries two independent MPPT strings and a ten-city service network. Crown's stronger internal argument is the IP21 Elego at Rs 150,000–190,000 for the same electrical job indoors. The Deye SUN-6K and Knox Galaxy units are the other rivals in this bracket; SolarNevs has not independently verified their July 2026 street prices and does not carry numbers across pages.
