Crown Micro Solar Inverters
Crown Micro is an inverter brand sold across Pakistan through independent solar retailers, running two current families — the Xavier off-grid/backup line and the Elego grid-tie hybrid line — backed by six service branches in five cities. Across the four priced SKUs, Crown units sold for Rs 80,000 to Rs 272,000 (verified 25–26 July 2026), with the indoor 6 kW grid-feeding Elego at Rs 150,000–190,000 roughly a third to a half below a comparable Inverex Nitrox 6.6kW at Rs 275,000–280,000 (verified 2026-07-25).
Which Crown inverters can actually export to the grid?
Almost every Pakistani retailer gets this wrong. Crown's own product page classifies the Xavier 3KW as an off-grid inverter, and Crown's 2024 Xavier datasheet restricts feed-in to the larger unit, printing the feature as "Feed-in to the grid function (Xavier 6KW)" with the feature icon labelled for the 6KW only. Yet the Xavier 3KW and 4KW are listed as "hybrid" by SunSolar, OneStopMall, MaxSolar, SmartSolar, Kamal Solar and ZakSun alike.
Since the NEPRA Prosumer Regulations 2026 replaced net metering with net billing in February 2026, that distinction decides what you are buying. A Xavier 3KW or 4KW is a self-consumption and battery-backup box: it will run your loads from PV and battery, and it will not export a unit. Only the Elego 6KW variants are documented as programmable grid-tie units with self-consumption and feed-in.
One caveat: Crown's IP65 datasheet lists its feed-in voltage and frequency windows as pre-set to Indian, German and South American regulation profiles, with no Pakistan or NEPRA profile listed, and Crown publishes no equivalent table for the IP21. Crown's Pakistani catalogue is much wider than these four. It additionally lists an Elego-III 5KW, Elego 10–15KW, a NOVA 3.6–7.8KW family, three-phase units and a "High Voltage Hybrid" family, while the retail channel simultaneously carries Relevo, Yorker and Ricco names. SolarNevs covers only SKUs where Crown's own datasheet or manual could be fetched and a Pakistani price corroborated.
Who owns Crown Micro?
Two Crown-branded web properties serve Pakistan and publish the same datasheets, which is itself a buyer problem.
- crown-micro.com/pk-en — the Pakistan locale of the Crown Micro brand site, listing phone 0423-5788144-45-46 and email info@crownmicro.com.pk, with a Lahore head address of 22 G/A, Gulberg-II on its service-centre page (fetched 2026-07-25).
- crownmicroglobal.com — states its address as Plot No S60806, Jafza South, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, UAE, with phones +92 111 977 977 and +971 48839373 (fetched 2026-07-25).
Beyond those contact details and the service-centre list, the Pakistani legal entity behind Crown Micro, its ownership and its leadership are not documented in any source SolarNevs could fetch, and nothing further is published here. Neither is the manufacturer. The Xavier manuals follow the generic off-grid inverter-charger template shared across the Axpert / MPP Solar / Voltronic family — identical 01–09 and 51–59 fault numbering, the same anti-dust-kit section, the same four-table spec layout — which points to a shared ODM platform rather than in-house design, but no primary source confirms one. Crown Micro is not a Deye rebadge on any evidence SolarNevs could find, despite that framing circulating about several Pakistani brands.
Which "Crown" are you actually searching for?
The bare token "Crown" maps to at least three different Pakistani product worlds, and landing on the wrong one wastes money:
- Crown Micro — the UPS and solar-inverter brand described on this page (about 3,600 monthly Pakistani searches for the inverter brand, SEMrush PK database, July 2026).
- Crown electric bikes — a separate and larger search universe at about 6,600 monthly searches (same source). Nothing on this page applies to it.
- Crown Solar Energy — an unrelated Karachi firm at Plot 672-673, Building 4, Deh Joreji Taluka, District Malir, Bin Qasim, selling inverters under the "Crown Nexus" name with no stated relation to Crown Micro (fetched 2026-07-25).
If a dealer offers you a "Crown" inverter, ask which Crown, and check the model string against Crown Micro's own datasheet before paying.
What is the warranty reality?
Crown prints its warranty in two parts; retailers advertise one number.

Comprehensive cover is the term that decides whether a failed board is free. On the IP21 Elego that is one year, after which you are into labour-only service for three more. No credible first-hand account of a Crown warranty claim could be found — no forum thread, no review with a claim narrative — so none is described here. The structural facts: claims route through six physical branches, and Crown's own troubleshooting tables send fault codes 08, 09, 53 and 57 straight back to the repair centre.
How good is Crown's service and monitoring?
Six branches, five cities, with published street addresses: two in Lahore, one each in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad (crown-micro.com/pk-en/service-centers/, fetched 2026-07-25). No Islamabad-proper branch, none in Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, AJK or Gilgit-Baltistan. A published address is evidence a network exists, not evidence of what happens when you walk into it.
Monitoring is the weakest documented part of ownership. The Crown Monitor app scored 1.9 out of 5 from 61 ratings on the Pakistani Apple App Store on 2026-07-25, sat in the "Lifestyle" category, was published under an individual seller name rather than the company, and its latest release — version 1.3 — was dated 01/07/2024. One reviewer wrote that "the app refreshes only after 3 to 5 minutes"; another reported live graphs and grid-feeding data disappearing from the home screen. Google Play's figures are JavaScript-rendered and could not be read, so no Play score is published here.
What are the buying risks?
No counterfeit Crown reports exist — targeted searches on 2026-07-25 found no brand-specific claim, and none is manufactured here. The documented risks are different:
- Two official-looking sites. crown-micro.com/pk-en and crownmicroglobal.com both present as the brand's own site with different addresses, which makes "is this the real dealer?" hard for a buyer to settle.
- No serial-verification portal. Unlike LONGi, Jinko or Canadian Solar, Crown publishes no serial checker SolarNevs could find. You cannot self-verify a unit; the only practical check is buying from a dealer the six branches will honour.
- An active grey market. OLX Pakistan carried listings such as "Crown Hybrid Inverter 4.2KW, 6.2KW | MPPT | WiFi" at Rs 70,000 in Karachi and a 6.2 kW / 4.2 kW / 10.2 kW listing at Rs 85,000 in Gujranwala (fetched 2026-07-25) — far under retail, and using kW ratings that appear on no Crown datasheet SolarNevs fetched.
- Fabricated retailer spec blocks. SmartSolar's "Xavier 4KW PV6000" page lists 48 V battery, dual MPPT, IP65 and ~14 kg; Crown's own 4KW datasheet says 24 VDC, one MPPT range and 9.5 kg. SunSolar claims 97.5% efficiency and SmartSolar 96% where Crown prints 93%. Read the retailer's spec table as marketing, and the datasheet as the specification.
Price context
Crown's actual market position is price. The Elego-VI-6KW IP21 at Rs 150,000–190,000 sits well under the Inverex Nitrox 6.6kW at Rs 275,000–280,000 (both verified 2026-07-25) for a comparable single-phase 6 kW hybrid, and the Xavier 3KW at Rs 80,000–97,000 lands close to the 24 V Inverex Veyron II Premium 2600W at Rs 99,999. The outdoor ELEGO-6KW-IP65 is the exception: at Rs 272,000 (verified 2026-07-26) it lands at near-parity with the Nitrox. Knox Krypton and Growatt SPH units are also 6 kW-class rivals; SolarNevs has not independently verified their July 2026 street prices and does not carry numbers across pages, so those figures ship with their own pages.
What you give up for the saving is documented: 93% battery-mode efficiency where premium hybrids claim 97–98%, a single MPPT tracker on every Crown model here, one year of comprehensive warranty on the IP21 Elego, no published closed-loop BMS protocol, and a monitoring app rated 1.9 out of 5.
