Fronus Infineon Reborn PV7200 6.2 kW Hybrid Inverter

The Fronus Infineon Reborn PV7200 is a single-phase 6.2 kW hybrid inverter on a 48 V battery bank, accepting up to 7200 W of PV - the brand's largest indoor-rated hybrid and the model most Pakistani households actually need. As of 2 August 2026 it sells for Rs 120,000 to Rs 145,000 on the two live listings that name the series: Rs 120,000 at authorized dealer W11Stop (in stock, stamped "updated on August 2, 2026") and Rs 145,000 at SolarPanelPrices.pk, cut from Rs 155,000. A third live listing on Daraz asks Rs 165,900 but does not say which series it is, so it is printed below as context rather than folded into the range.

At Rs 120,000 this is the cheapest 6 kW-class hybrid on its dealer's own shelf - less than half an Inverex Nitrox 6kW at Rs 266,000 the same day. What that price does not include is a warranty you can read: Fronus publishes no warranty term for this model in any document - not on the spec page, not in the datasheet PDF, not in the product manual PDF, and there is no warranty page on the site. The technical documents do exist and download; the warranty number does not exist anywhere.

Specifications

Figures above follow Fronus's spec page and datasheet. The Infineon Reborn product manual disagrees with them and we are printing that rather than hiding it: its Table 2 covers a "PV 5200" and a "PV 6200", rates the larger unit's PV array at 6200 W rather than 7200 W, and never mentions a PV 7200 at all. The manual's back page carries Chinese print-shop instructions - an unmodified OEM document that predates the model name on the box. Use it for procedure, fault codes and charge behaviour; use the datasheet for ratings.

Two numbers to hold onto. The 12,400 W surge for five seconds is what starts a 1.5-ton compressor or a water pump without tripping. And the 50 W no-load draw - higher than the 4.2 kW model's 30 W - costs roughly 1.2 kWh a day if the unit idles around the clock, about 440 kWh a year. Schedule it.

Honest assessment

Pros. The price-to-capability ratio at the authorized dealer is the best on that shelf: Rs 120,000 for 6200 W of rated output, a 7200 W array ceiling and 12.4 kW of surge, against Rs 165,000 for Knox's 6.5 kW, Rs 190,000 for Knox's IP66 6 kW and Rs 266,000 for the Inverex Nitrox. The 48 V bus is the right architecture - it halves DC current versus the 24 V PV5200, opens up Fronus's 5.12 kWh battery instead of the 2.56 kWh unit, and gives room to expand. The 60-450 Vdc MPPT window tolerates both short winter strings and long summer ones, and the 2066 W second-load circuit is genuinely useful for keeping fans and lights alive after the main load has been shed. Seventeen published service centres with addresses is real accountability by the standards of this price bracket.

Cons. No published warranty term - not on the product page, not in the datasheet, not in the manual, and no warranty page on the manufacturer's own site, for its own volume model. No installation guide for this series. The only certification printed is CE. IP21 means indoor only, which rules out the wall many Pakistani installs actually have. Peak inverter efficiency is stated at 93%, below the 97-98% headline the same page quotes for DC/AC conversion, and buyers should expect the lower figure to be the one they feel in a hot room. The manual that ships with the machine is an OEM document that names a "PV 6200" and rates its array at 6200 W, so the paper trail does not match the badge. And the same-day price spread across sellers reaches 38% on the series-named listings alone.

Who should buy. A household running a 5-7 kW array with one or two ACs, mounting indoors, buying from a seller who will write the warranty term and servicing branch onto the invoice, and who has phoned the nearest of the 17 service centres first. Anyone who needs the unit outdoors should price the Fronus LV 6 kW IP65 at Rs 206,000 instead. Anyone whose priority is a warranty term they can read before paying should pay the Inverex or Solis premium and know exactly what the premium is for.

Pakistan reality check

The warranty gap, on this model specifically. On 2 August 2026, fronus.com's Infineon Reborn PV7200 page carried a complete electrical specification table, the single line "Safety Certification: CE", and a Downloads block with a working datasheet PDF and a working product manual PDF. We opened both. Neither contains a warranty section, and neither does the product page; the site has no warranty page at all. So this is not a documentation vacuum - it is a warranty vacuum inside otherwise-adequate documentation, which is a harder thing to explain away. (The site's central Downloads index compounds the confusion by showing "Not Available" for this series' user manual even though the product page links it, and by publishing structured-data PDF URLs that 404.) The live Daraz listing states "1 Year Brand Warranty", with the brand field set to ".No Brand." and the seller, Solarlink - Solar Installation & Services, carrying "not enough data" on positive-seller ratings. The sibling PV5200 listing states three mutually exclusive terms on one page. Aggregator pages assert "2-year parts warranty plus 3-year service warranty" for the Infineon line without a source. Every warranty number attached to this inverter comes from someone other than the manufacturer, and they disagree. Demand the physical warranty card, photograph it, and have the term, start date and servicing branch written on the invoice.

Where a claim physically goes. Seventeen service centres with street addresses and mobile numbers: Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sialkot; Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur; Mardan, Naurang, Peshawar; Quetta. Nothing in Islamabad proper, AJK or Gilgit-Baltistan. Ask the dealer who pays freight on a 10 kg unit and what the turnaround is - and get the answer in writing, because with no published policy it is a per-shop answer.

Overpanelling and the 500 V ceiling. The 7200 W array limit against 6200 W of output is a healthy 1.16 DC/AC ratio, which is the right call for Pakistani dust and haze losses. The hard limit is the 500 Vdc open-circuit ceiling: on a cold January morning panel Voc rises above the nameplate, and a string sized to 470 V on a datasheet can clip past 500 V at 5 C. Size the string on cold-weather Voc, not on standard test conditions - exceeding 500 V is an instant, uninsured hardware kill on an inverter with no published warranty.

Battery pairing. Fronus's own Titan 48V 100Ah 5.12 kWh pack is the intended partner and the supported path. The bulk and float voltages on this inverter (58.4 V flooded, 56.4 V AGM, 54 V float) are lead-acid profiles; a lithium pack needs either a matched BMS protocol or a hand-set lithium profile, and protocol mismatch is the number-one lithium-retrofit failure in Pakistan. The published manual does cover the lithium path - it documents a "LIB" battery-type setting that activates lithium communication and names PACE BMS as the supported protocol - but it names no compatibility list of specific packs. Get your exact battery model confirmed against this inverter in writing before you pay.

Heat and dust. IP21, 50 C ceiling, anti-dust filter that is a filter and not an ingress rating. Indoors, ventilated, clearance around the chassis, cleaned before every summer. An installation the dealer can call non-compliant is one you cannot claim on.

Fault codes. There is an official table and it is downloadable: section 5.8 of the Infineon Reborn product manual lists error codes 01 to 59, section 5.9 lists the warning codes, and section 8 is a symptom-to-action troubleshooting chart. Get the manual off the product page and read the code on the display against section 5.8 before paying for a diagnosis. Fronus fault-code articles written without it - including the SolarNevs Fronus error-code page, which predates our locating this manual - should be checked against it rather than trusted over it.

Price context vs rivals (August 2026)

The internal comparison is closer than at 4.2 kW. On the same seller's shelf on 2 August 2026 the Fronus Platinum PV7200 costs Rs 140,000 against Rs 145,000 for this Infineon Reborn - and at this power both series are rated identically at 6200 W / 6200 VA, with Platinum claiming 98% maximum conversion efficiency against 97% and a narrower 90-450 Vdc MPPT window. So at 6.2 kW the Platinum is arguably the better buy on that listing, which inverts the picture at 4.2 kW where Platinum costs more for 600 W less. There is no consistent premium logic between the two Fronus series; compare the actual spec sheet of the actual box, every time.
