| Warranty | Four different answers, all live on 2 August 2026. GoodWe's own Pakistan page advertises 10 years on the G3 Hybrid Series 8-20kW including battery communication modules. AMS and A Grade Solar advertise 5 years, Alladin 5 years replacement, and C-Power attaches its own 2-year replacement cover. GoodWe publishes a Pakistani service UAN (03311110217) and named engineers, so the factory term is checkable before you buy - do that, and get the term, the model string and the serial written on the invoice. |

The GoodWe ES Uniq 8kW is the single-phase hybrid GoodWe Pakistan actually puts forward - it is the middle of the ES Uniq 8-12kW range named on GoodWe's own Pakistan product offering, and it is the model AMS calls "Pakistan's best-selling GoodWe hybrid". On 2 August 2026 five Pakistani sellers listed it between Rs 290,000 and Rs 355,000, a 22% spread on the same machine on the same day.
One naming caveat before anything else. GoodWe's datasheet and its residential quick guide call this unit GW8000-ES-C10. Several Pakistani listings - Alladin's among them - write GW8000M-ES-C10, an M-suffixed string that appears on no GoodWe document we could open today. That may be nothing, or it may be a regional variant nobody has documented. Photograph the nameplate at delivery and make sure it matches your invoice.

Every figure above is from the GW8000-ES-C10 column of GoodWe's own ES Uniq datasheet, fetched 2 August 2026. Where a Pakistani listing disagrees - w11stop says IP65 and "around 98% or higher" efficiency, Alladin quotes 97.6% correctly but 16 kW PV as "maximum PV input" without the tracker split - the datasheet wins.
Honest assessment
Pros. The back-up specification is the reason to buy this unit rather than a 6kW: 8.8 kVA sustained off-grid with a 16.0 kVA ten-second surge, which is enough headroom to start a submersible pump or an inverter AC compressor without tripping. 16 kW of PV on an 8 kW inverter is genuine 200% oversizing, which is the right shape for Pakistan where morning and evening generation matter more than a clipped noon peak. The 160 A battery channel means a single ES Uniq can drive a properly-sized 48V lithium bank at full discharge. And it is one of the models GoodWe Pakistan itself lists, with a manufacturer-run service hub in Karachi and Lahore behind it - which is more than most imported hybrids here can say.
Cons. The Pakistani price is chaotic - Rs 65,000 between the cheapest and dearest seller on the same day, and the two cheapest are both "on order" rather than in stock, so the real in-stock band is narrower and higher (Rs 320,000-355,000). The model string on retail listings is unreliable. The tracker asymmetry (32 A on one, 16 A on the other) is easy to get wrong at design time and nobody selling it mentions it. Smart fan cooling in a dusty Pakistani utility room is a maintenance item, not a set-and-forget - GoodWe's own error code 12 is internal fan failure. And the warranty answer changes with the seller, from 2 years to 10.
Who should buy. A 10-marla to 1-kanal home on a single-phase connection with a 48V lithium bank and a real backup requirement - that is exactly the load this machine is shaped for. If your connection is three-phase, the 12kW ET LV is the sibling to price, and it is far better behaved on price. If you only need grid-tied export with no battery, GoodWe's SDT on-grid range costs less than half this per kW.
Pakistan reality check
Do not buy the legacy 5kW instead. Solar Trade lists a GW5048D-ES at Rs 316,440 and Solarshop a GW5048-EM at Rs 325,000 - both superseded single-phase GoodWe hybrids, both more expensive than C-Power's or Alladin's current 8kW ES Uniq. Neither legacy price is corroborated by a second Pakistani seller, so neither is a market price; they are old stock carrying an old price tag. If a dealer offers you a "GoodWe 5kW hybrid" at Rs 300,000-plus, you are being offered less machine for more money.
Get the phase right, then the family right. This is a single-phase, low-voltage-battery machine. GoodWe also sells three-phase ET LV hybrids on the same 48V battery class and three-phase ET HV hybrids on a 180-600 V battery. Pakistani listings routinely say only "GoodWe 8kW hybrid" - AMS, notably, lists both an 8kW single-phase ES Uniq at Rs 335,000 and an 8kW three-phase ET LV at Rs 390,000 on the same page. w11stop's Rs 355,000 listing prints no model string at all; we classify it as the single-phase ES Uniq because it specifies two MPPTs and carries none of the "3PHASE" labelling w11stop uses on its three-phase hybrid listings. Ask, do not infer.
Warranty, and the free phone call that settles it. GoodWe's Pakistan page advertises 10 years on the G3 Hybrid Series 8-20kW "including battery communication modules". Your seller will probably advertise five - AMS, A Grade Solar and Alladin all do - and C-Power attaches a 2-year shop replacement instead. GoodWe publishes a service UAN, 03311110217, and names a Technical Service Manager in Lahore and a Technical Service Engineer in Karachi. Call before you pay, quote the model string, and ask whether that seller's stock is covered by the factory term. It costs a phone call and it is the only version of the warranty that is not marketing.
Earthing decides your fault log. GoodWe's own troubleshooting guide makes error code 10 (ground current failure) and code 25 (relay check failure) into measurements rather than opinions: earth-to-frame voltage should read close to 0 V, grid neutral-to-ground under 10 V, back-up neutral-to-ground resistance under 10 ohms. In Pakistani installs those two codes are usually an earth electrode and a badly bonded DB, not an inverter fault. Make the installer take and record those three readings at handover - see our GoodWe error-code guide.
Own your monitoring account. Alarms on SEMS Portal are read from administrator and technician accounts, per GoodWe's own documentation. If the dealer keeps the plant account, only the dealer can tell you why the system stopped. Insist on your own SEMS plant and SolarGo access, in the handover note, before final payment.
Heat and dust. Rated -35 to +60 C, but this is a fan-cooled unit, unlike the 3-6 kW ES Uniq models that use natural convection. Dust is what kills fans and fans are what prevent error 13 (over temperature). Shaded wall, manual clearances, and clear the fins before each summer.
Price context vs rivals (August 2026)
Five sellers, one machine, 2 August 2026:
Seller | Price | Stock |
|---|---|---|
A Grade Solar | Rs 290,000 | on order only |
Alladin | Rs 310,000 | pre-order |
C-Power | Rs 320,000 (cut from Rs 330,000) | in stock |
AMS Security Vision | Rs 335,000 | wholesale list, page headed June 2025 |
w11stop | Rs 355,000 | in stock |
And against what else Rs 290,000-355,000 buys in a hybrid on the same day:
Alternative | Price (2 Aug 2026) | Note |
|---|---|---|
GoodWe 6 kW ES Uniq | Rs 225,000 | w11stop and AMS agree exactly |
GoodWe 10 kW ES Uniq | Rs 405,000-420,000 | AMS / w11stop - 25% more for 25% more kW |
GoodWe GW5048D-ES 5 kW (legacy) | Rs 316,440 | Solar Trade only - less machine, same money |
GoodWe GW5048-EM 5 kW (legacy) | Rs 325,000 | Solarshop only - less machine, same money |
GoodWe 12 kW ET LV (three-phase) | Rs 508,000-525,000 | different connection type, see model page |
The step from 6 kW to 8 kW costs roughly Rs 95,000 and buys 2 kW of AC, 4 kW of PV headroom and fan cooling. The step from 8 kW to 10 kW costs roughly Rs 85,000 for 2 kW more. On a per-kW basis the 10 kW is the better buy if your roof and your bank can feed it; the 8 kW is the better buy if 16 kW of PV is already more array than your roof will hold. Cross-shop Inverex Nitrox 8kW before deciding - the local brand's service network is the standing benchmark, and GoodWe's answer to it is a factory service hub rather than a dealer counter.
Frequently asked questions
What does the GoodWe 8kW ES Uniq cost in Pakistan today?
Rs 290,000 to Rs 355,000, verified across five Pakistani sellers on 2 August 2026 - A Grade Solar Rs 290,000 (on order only), Alladin Rs 310,000 (pre-order), C-Power Rs 320,000 (in stock), AMS Rs 335,000, w11stop Rs 355,000 (in stock, page dated 2 August 2026). That is a 22% spread on the same machine on the same day, so quote at least three sellers.
Is it really GW8000M-ES-C10?
GoodWe's own ES Uniq datasheet and its residential quick guide name the 8kW unit GW8000-ES-C10, with no M. The M-suffixed string appears on several Pakistani and regional retail listings but on no GoodWe document we could open on 2 August 2026. Photograph the nameplate before installation and make sure the string on it matches the string on your invoice.
How much solar can I put on an 8kW ES Uniq?
16 kW of PV - 200% of the AC rating - across two MPPT trackers with a 600 V ceiling and a 60-550 V MPPT window, per GoodWe's datasheet. Input current is 32 A on one tracker and 16 A on the other, so string layout is not symmetrical; give the two-string tracker the bigger array.
What battery does it need?
A 48 V nominal low-voltage bank, 40-60 V, lithium or lead-acid, on a single battery input rated 160 A continuous in both directions - about 8 kW of charge and 8.8 kW of discharge. It talks to the BMS over CAN. It cannot use a high-voltage battery; that is the ET HV series, a different machine.
Does it run my whole house during load-shedding?
Its back-up output is rated 8.0 kVA nominal and 8.8 kVA sustained, with a 16.0 kVA surge for 10 seconds, which covers motor start-up on a pump or an AC compressor. What limits you is the battery, not the inverter - 8.8 kW of discharge needs a bank that can actually deliver 160 A.
Is it IP65 and 98% efficient, as some sellers say?
No. GoodWe's datasheet gives IP66 and a maximum efficiency of 97.6%, with 96.2% European efficiency and 95.5% battery-to-AC. w11stop's page claims IP65 and "typically around 98% or higher". The datasheet is the number to hold the seller to.
