GoodWe Solar Inverters
GoodWe is one of the very few inverter brands in Pakistan that answers its own phone. Where Solis publishes no walk-in address and routes everything through whichever importer sold the unit, GoodWe's own country page states it "operates fully equipped service hubs in Karachi and Lahore", publishes a service UAN, lists two warehouses, and prints the names, mobile numbers and email addresses of its Pakistani technical staff. As of 2 August 2026, live listed prices for GoodWe hybrids run Rs 225,000 to Rs 820,000 - Rs 225,000 for a 6kW single-phase ES Uniq, Rs 820,000 for a 20kW three-phase ET LV.
The catch is on the other side of the counter. Of roughly a dozen Pakistani GoodWe listings we opened today, only four print an actual GoodWe model string. Everything else is sold as a capacity - "GoodWe 8kW hybrid", "GoodWe 10kW hybrid" - and GoodWe sells more than one machine at most of those capacities, on incompatible battery voltages. This page is mostly about telling those apart.

GW5048D-ES 5 kW (legacy) | single-phase LV hybrid | Rs 316,440 | Solar Trade only - one seller, not a market price |
GW5048-EM 5 kW (legacy) | single-phase hybrid | Rs 325,000 | Solarshop only - one seller, not a market price |
Two things jump out of that table. First, the old 5kW costs more than the new 8kW. Solar Trade wants Rs 316,440 for a GW5048D-ES and Solarshop Rs 325,000 for a GW5048-EM - both superseded single-phase units - while C-Power sells the current 8kW ES Uniq for Rs 320,000 and Alladin for Rs 310,000. Neither legacy price is corroborated by a second Pakistani seller, so we do not treat either as a market price; they are listed here as a warning, not a quote.
Second, the on-grid SDT range is the most price-disciplined thing GoodWe sells here - three independent sellers within Rs 15,000 of each other at 10kW, 15kW and 20kW - while the hybrid range is not. The 8kW ES Uniq spans Rs 290,000 to Rs 355,000 on the same day.
Where these numbers come from, and how much to trust each. w11stop's figures are the freshest we have: its 8kW and 12kW product pages both carry the line "updated on August 2, 2026" in their own text. C-Power, Alladin, A Grade Solar, Vertex Solar, Solar Trade and Solarshop are live storefront prices with add-to-cart. AMS is the weakest source on this page and we use it only where someone else agrees: its price list is headed "GoodWe Full Price List Pakistan - June 2025", carries no last-updated stamp, and states that "all prices are AMS wholesale rates". Every AMS figure quoted above is matched by at least one other seller opened the same day - the 6kW at Rs 225,000 matches w11stop exactly, the 12kW ET LV at Rs 525,000 matches Vertex exactly, the SDT prices sit within Rs 15,000 of w11stop and Nizam. The one place AMS supplies a number nobody else does is the top of the band: Rs 820,000 for the 20kW ET LV, against w11stop's Rs 796,000 for the same model. Read the top of our range as "roughly Rs 800,000", not as a quotable Rs 820,000.

Honest assessment
Pros. The service story is genuinely better than the international competition here, and it is documented rather than claimed by a reseller: GoodWe's own Pakistan page names service hubs in Karachi and Lahore, a service UAN, warehouse addresses in Rawalpindi and Lahore, and three technical staff with direct mobile numbers and goodwe.com email addresses. GoodWe also publishes an official ESS Troubleshooting Guide with measurable pass/fail numbers per error code, which is why our GoodWe error-code guide can tell you that earth-to-frame voltage should read close to 0V rather than "call a technician". The hardware is competitive on paper - 97.6-97.8% peak efficiency, 200% PV oversizing, generator input, 3-in-1 backup port, CAN to the battery BMS - and the on-grid SDT range is the most consistently priced GoodWe product in Pakistan.
Cons. Almost nothing on a Pakistani GoodWe listing is a model number. Sellers advertise "GoodWe 8kW hybrid" or "GoodWe 10kW hybrid", and GoodWe makes several distinct machines at those ratings on battery voltages that are not interchangeable. Sellers also copy specs badly - w11stop's 8kW page claims IP65 and "typically around 98% or higher" efficiency where GoodWe's datasheet says IP66 and 97.6%; Vertex and Power House Express both give the 12kW ET LV as 47.5 kg where the datasheet column reads 45.3 kg. Some of that is inherited rather than invented: GoodWe's own ET LV cover advertises "Dual independent battery inputs with 416A" for a series in which only the 15kW and 20kW have two inputs. The warranty term is different at every seller, from 2 years to 10. And the hybrid pricing has no discipline - a 22% same-day spread on the 8kW.
Who should buy. People who value a manufacturer-run service channel over the last Rs 20,000 of the price, and who are willing to do the model-string homework before paying. Buyers who want the cheapest working hybrid should still price Inverex Nitrox and Crown Micro Elego; buyers who want the most-documented battery compatibility list should look at Solis. Nobody should buy a GoodWe hybrid from a listing that will not print the model string.
Pakistan reality check
Who actually services it - the one thing GoodWe does better than its rivals here. GoodWe's Pakistan page (checked 2 August 2026) states it "operates fully equipped service hubs in Karachi and Lahore", gives a service-support UAN of 03311110217 and a sales number of 03352554861, lists warehouses at "Sec D Ext lane 1, Bahria Town Phase 8 Rawalpindi" and "Maraka, Lahore", and names Country Head Fahad Ali, Country Manager Danish Ahmed, Technical Head Ahmad Rafay (Islamabad), Technical Service Manager Khuram Batth (Lahore) and Technical Service Engineer Muhammad Hassan Quader (Karachi), each with a mobile number and a goodwe.com address. The same page dates its Pakistani presence - "Celebrating 10 Years in Pakistan" (4 August 2025) - and runs an installer loyalty programme, "GoodWe Plus", announced 3 April 2026. We list Lahore and Karachi as verified service cities because those are the two GoodWe calls service hubs; Rawalpindi and Islamabad have a warehouse and a technical head respectively, which is not the same thing.
Documented stock vs everything else. GoodWe's Pakistan page publishes its own product offering: ES Uniq hybrid (LV) 8-12kW single-phase, SDT G3 8-30kW three-phase, Lynx A G3 5kWh battery, ET hybrid (HV) 40/50kW, BAT-S battery, and the SMT/GT/UT/HT commercial range. Note what is not on that list: the 5-20kW ET LV three-phase hybrids, which are the volume three-phase product on Pakistani shelves. They are real GoodWe products with an official global datasheet (GW_ET-LV_Datasheet-EN.pdf, fetched today), so this is not a counterfeit signal - but a 12kW ET LV is not a model GoodWe Pakistan itself puts forward, and that is worth knowing before you rely on a country-office warranty for it. Ask, in writing, whether your specific model is covered by GoodWe Pakistan or only by the shop.
The model-string problem, concretely. Of the Pakistani listings opened on 2 August 2026: Power House Express and Vertex print "GW12K-ET-L-G10"; Solar Trade prints "GW5048D-ES"; Solarshop prints "GW5048-EM"; Alladin prints "GW8000M-ES-C10" - an M-suffixed string that appears on no GoodWe document we could open, since GoodWe's own datasheet and quick guide call the 8kW ES Uniq GW8000-ES-C10. w11stop, AMS, C-Power, A Grade Solar and Nizam Energy print capacity only. The trap this creates is real: GoodWe sells a 10kW single-phase ES Uniq on a 48V battery and a three-phase GW10K-ET whose datasheet battery range is 180-600V. Both get advertised as "GoodWe 10kW hybrid", at roughly Rs 420,000 and Rs 455,000. Buy the wrong one with a 48V lithium bank and the battery will never connect.
Three "authorized distributors", zero named by GoodWe. w11stop states it is "a trusted and authorized distributor and dealer of GoodWe products"; AMS Security Vision lists GoodWe under "Authorized Distributor" alongside Growatt and Solis and claims authorization since 2013 with offices in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad; Nizam Energy heads its page "Authorised Distributors of Goodwe in Pakistan". GoodWe's own Pakistan page names no distributor of any kind. All three claims may be true - none is confirmed by the manufacturer. Since GoodWe publishes a direct service UAN, the cheapest possible due diligence is to call it and ask whether your seller and your serial number are in the system before you pay.
Warranty - a four-way conflict, printed rather than averaged. GoodWe Pakistan: 10 years on the G3 Hybrid Series 8-20kW, "including battery communication modules". AMS: 5 years on inverters. A Grade Solar: 5 years. Alladin: 5 years replacement. C-Power: "2 years Replaced Warranty" as the shop's own term. Nizam Energy: 10 years on 10-20kW residential, 5 years on commercial. All six statements were live on 2 August 2026. We are not going to adjudicate them. Get the years, the model string and the serial number written on the invoice, and confirm with GoodWe's UAN whether the claim route is the factory or the shop.
Error codes and the account you do not own. GoodWe's ESS Troubleshooting Guide is unusually good, but GoodWe's own documentation puts alarm-reading on administrator and technician accounts in SEMS Portal. In Pakistan that means the dealer can see why your system stopped and you cannot. Insist on your own SEMS plant account at handover - see our GoodWe error-code guide for the codes and the measurements that go with them. The two codes that define GoodWe ownership here, 10 (Ground I failure) and 25 (relay check failure), are earthing faults, not inverter faults; no firmware update fixes a corroded earth rod in dry Punjab soil.
Heat. Both hybrid families are rated -35 to +60 C, and the 8kW-and-above units use smart fan cooling rather than natural convection. Fans plus Pakistani dust equals error code 12 (internal fan failure) and error code 13 (over temperature). Shaded wall, clearance per the manual, and a blow-out of the fins before every summer.
Price context vs rivals (August 2026)
Same store, same day - w11stop's shelf on 2 August 2026, single-phase hybrids in the 6-8kW class:
Single-phase hybrid | Price (2 Aug 2026) |
|---|---|
GoodWe 6 kW IP65 hybrid | Rs 225,000 |
GoodWe 8 kW IP65 hybrid | Rs 355,000 |
GoodWe 10 kW hybrid | Rs 420,000 |
GoodWe 12 kW hybrid | Rs 430,000 |
And the same capacity across sellers, which is the comparison that actually saves money:
8 kW single-phase ES Uniq | Price (2 Aug 2026) | Stock |
|---|---|---|
A Grade Solar | Rs 290,000 | on order only |
Alladin | Rs 310,000 | pre-order |
C-Power | Rs 320,000 (cut from Rs 330,000) | in stock |
AMS Security Vision | Rs 335,000 | wholesale list, page headed June 2025 |
w11stop | Rs 355,000 | in stock |
Rs 65,000 between the top and bottom of that column - 22% - for what all five describe as the same 8kW ES Uniq. The three-phase 12kW ET LV, by contrast, sits inside a 3% band across five sellers (Rs 508,000 to Rs 525,000). Quote-shop the single-phase; the three-phase price is already the market's answer.
