Solis S5-GR3P10K 10kW Three-Phase On-Grid Inverter

The Solis S5-GR3P10K is a 10 kW three-phase on-grid string inverter from Ginlong Technologies — no battery port, no backup output, built purely to convert rooftop DC into 400 V three-phase AC for live use and export. Three independently fetched Pakistani retailers priced it at Rs 200,000-210,000 on 25 July 2026.

First, though: "Solis 10kW on-grid" is one of the most conflated labels on the Pakistani market. Read the next section before comparing prices.

Three different products, one shelf label

That last row matters: a commonly cited "Rs 250,000 Solis 10kW on-grid" traces back to an S5-GC3P10K listing whose own page says the price is supplied on contacting a sales representative. Neither this model nor a binding figure, so we exclude it.

The consequence: a Rs 165,000 quote and a Rs 210,000 quote can both be honest and both be "Solis 10kW on-grid". Get the model string on the invoice, or the number is meaningless.

On efficiency. Unlike the S6 hybrids, high-90s figures are legitimate here — this on-grid three-phase range is where the 98.x% numbers belong. But the two retailers we fetched disagree (98.5% versus 98.7%) and no datasheet could settle it, so we publish a range. The caution runs in reverse: 98.7% quoted for a Solis hybrid was lifted from this family and does not apply there.

Honest assessment

What it is good for. Three-phase commercial and light-industrial sites — factory, shop, office, school — consuming most of their generation during production hours. Dual MPPT and a 12 kW recommended array against 10 kW AC gives sensible oversize headroom. Solis's own application-notes page carries a Pakistani reference: a 100 kW Gujranwala installation on Solis-50K inverters.

What it cannot do. Anything when the grid is down. On-grid inverters must disconnect on grid failure (anti-islanding), so this is no load-shedding answer and it can never take a battery on its DC side. If storage is in your five-year plan, buy a hybrid now.

The documentation gap. We verified the price to three independent retailers but not the spec sheet to a manufacturer document — several rows above rest on one retailer's copy, a lower evidence standard than we hold the S6 PLUS series to.

Owner feedback. No Pakistani owner reviews of this hardware could be sourced, and we state that rather than manufacture sentiment. The only verifiable Solis owner feedback is global, and concerns the app.

Who should buy it. A three-phase commercial site with strong daytime load, from a dealer who will put "S5-GR3P10K" on the invoice. Households should be looking at a hybrid.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. A -25 to +60 °C rating with IP66 suits a Pakistani rooftop, but string inverters derate as they heat and a dusty heatsink derates sooner. Shade it, keep it off west-facing walls, clean it annually.

Grid instability is the main operational risk. With no battery to ride anything through, this unit is fully exposed to feeder behaviour. OV-G-V (over grid voltage) is the alarm to expect; Solis's own service documentation attributes it commonly to a mismatched grid code rather than a hardware fault, so check that before anyone quotes for parts. Net billing changes the maths. Net metering was abolished in February 2026 under the NEPRA Prosumer Regulations; exports now earn roughly Rs 11/unit against import tariffs several times that. Size the array to your daytime load, not your bill.

Service and grey stock. Solis publishes no walk-in service centre for Pakistan — phone, WhatsApp and email only on a Lahore landline, with physical support from the importer. Verified cities: Lahore and Karachi. No Solis-specific counterfeit advisory for Pakistan could be found and we will not invent one; the exposure is contractual, since Ginlong voids the warranty on a damaged or illegible label and requires the invoice and installation certificate — paperwork that is also your only proof of which generation you bought.

Price context

Rs 200,000-210,000 (verified 25 July 2026) across three dealers is a 5% spread — normal variance and a sign the number is real. Anything claiming to be an S5-GR3P10K far outside that band deserves a model-string check: below it you are probably seeing the older 4G-LV, above it a different line.

Rivals in the three-phase 10 kW on-grid class: Growatt MOD 10KTL3-X is the closest volume competitor, with a mature monitoring app and Growatt's own warning about unauthorised Pakistani stock; GoodWe GW10K-DT competes on the same commercial rooftop tier with the SEMS portal; Huawei SUN2000-10KTL-M1 sits above both on price and monitoring.
