Honest assessment

The case for it. 190 A of charge/discharge is the headline: on a 48 V bank that is roughly 9 kW of battery throughput, so a large lithium bank refills inside a short solar window — the exact problem in a Pakistani winter with five or six useful sun hours. The 16 kW recommended array against 8 kW AC is a 2:1 oversize ratio, and three strings on two trackers gives more roof freedom than the 6 kW.

The case against it. The documentation gap: for the PLUS series we can check retailer claims against a manufacturer datasheet, for the PRO we cannot, so several table rows rest on one shop's copy. The stated -10 to +50 °C range, if accurate, is far narrower than the PLUS series' -40 to +60 °C — not a comfortable ceiling for an unshaded wall in Jacobabad or Multan. Availability compounds it: every fetchable Pakistani listing on 25 July 2026 was unavailable, and a model nobody stocks has an equally thin spare-parts and warranty path.

Heat and dust. If the retailer-stated +50 °C ceiling holds, this unit has less thermal headroom than its PLUS siblings — mount it shaded or indoors with clear airflow. Installer reporting lists fan wear and overheating among common Solis fault classes, and IP66 keeps dust out of the enclosure but not off the heatsink. Clean it annually.

Service and warranty. No walk-in Solis service centre is published for Pakistan; support is a Lahore landline, a WhatsApp number and two emails, with physical help from importers. Verified cities: Lahore and Karachi — on a model this thinly stocked that matters more than usual. Price context

Rs 295,000-300,000 (verified 25 July 2026) is a 1.7% spread across three dealers, which normally signals a stable price. Here it signals something else: nobody discounts because nobody has stock.

The comparison that matters most is inside the Solis range. On 25 July 2026 the lower-specified 8 kW PLUS was listed at Rs 345,000 by two Pakistani retailers — roughly 15% more than the PRO. If a salesperson calls the PLUS the upgrade, ask them to justify it spec by spec.
