Note the warranty split: Pakistani distributor material for the common LR5-72HGD variants states 25 years with 84.8% guaranteed output at year 25, while LONGi's global Hi-MO 7 page advertises 30-year linear coverage on newer LR7 variants. Confirm which variant and coverage is printed on your warranty card before paying.

Honest assessment

Pros. Proven volume product - installers across Pakistan know it, racking and stringing are standard, and replacements will be findable for years. Genuine units are serial-checkable in two minutes on LONGi's portal, which no amount of sticker-printing can fake. The -0.28%/degC temperature coefficient is solidly mid-pack for N-type, and per-watt pricing undercuts Canadian Solar while matching Jinko.

Cons. Its popularity makes it counterfeiters' first choice - market guides explicitly warn about fake LONGi stock with copied stickers and flag sub-Rs-35/W offers as bait. The bifacial rear side adds little on typical flush-mounted Pakistani roofs, so don't pay extra for bifacial gain you won't harvest. Price spread between cash-market and documented stock is wide (roughly Rs 4-8/W), which confuses comparison shopping.

Who should buy. The default choice for documented residential net-metering systems of 5-15kW. If a rival Tier-1 quote comes in meaningfully cheaper with equal paperwork, take it - Hi-MO 7 wins on availability, not on spec supremacy.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. At -0.28%/degC, expect around 8-9% output below rated on 45-50°C cell-temperature afternoons in Multan or Jacobabad - normal for the class. Dust is the bigger thief: unwashed panels in dry districts lose more than heat takes. The glass front cleans like any standard module; no special coating claims to maintain.

The Rs 38-43/W wholesale figure largely reflects undocumented container stock; Rs 42.6-46.2/W buys distributor-channel panels with import paperwork and serial-registered warranty cards. That Rs 4-8/W difference is your warranty premium - about Rs 2,300-4,700 on a 585W panel.

Counterfeit risk. Non-negotiable checklist before money changes hands: barcode must be laser-etched inside the glass (paper stickers that scratch off = fake, walk away); serial must return valid model/wattage/production-date data at longi.com/en/modules-authenticity; the nameplate QR should resolve under LONGi's One Module One Code system; demand the factory flash test report showing your panel's actual tested wattage; and the serial on panel, warranty card, and invoice must be identical.

Warranty claim reality. Claims go to the authorized importer, not LONGi China. With matching documents, hot-spot and delamination claims do get processed; without them, there is no claim. Keep the flash test report and invoice scanned somewhere safe for the next decade.
