Specifications

LONGi's global X6 family spans five variants - Explorer, Scientist, Guardian Anti-Dust, Guardian Anti-Humidity & Heat, and Artist Ultra Black. Pakistani listings rarely specify which variant is in the crate; ask, because the Guardian Anti-Dust frame design is the one with genuine relevance here.

Honest assessment

Pros. Back-contact cells put all busbars on the rear, so the front face is uninterrupted glass - higher light capture and one of the better aesthetics in the market. Official HPBC cell efficiency exceeds 25.5%. The anti-dust frame variant is designed for exactly the environments Punjab and Sindh rooftops present. IP68 junction box is standard.

Cons. Availability is the killer: both retailers we checked show the X6 out of stock or price-on-request in July 2026, and one imposes a 10-panel minimum order. Single-source pricing means you cannot benchmark a quote against a live market rate. Warranty terms for PK stock are quoted inconsistently and could not be double-verified. Scarce, desirable models are prime targets for restickered fakes.

Who should buy. Someone who finds a verified, documented lot at Rs 43-45/W and values the back-contact design - or nobody. If you just want a good LONGi panel this quarter, the Hi-MO 7 is cheaper per watt, in stock everywhere, and easier to warranty. Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. The X6's pitch fits Pakistan: back-contact cells behave well in heat, and the Guardian Anti-Dust variant's frame is engineered to stop dust pooling along the bottom edge - a real failure mode on low-tilt Pakistani roofs where dust bands cause hot spots. But a marginal thermal edge does not offset buying an unverifiable panel; a clean Hi-MO 7 beats a questionable X6.

Documents vs non-documents. With official channel stock thin, most X6 units now surfacing are trader lots. Assume non-documented until proven otherwise: demand the import paperwork and the serial-matched warranty card, and price anything without them several rupees per watt below documented Hi-MO 7 rates, not above.

Counterfeit risk. Scarcity is a counterfeiter's best friend - "last few X6 panels" is a classic pressure play.
