Risen Titan (Mono PERC 210mm) — Legacy Series

Titan is Risen's large-format mono PERC platform: 210mm wafers, 132 half-cut cells, sold as RSM132-8-650BMDG through 670BMDG in bifacial dual glass and RSM132-8-655M through 675M in monofacial, rated 650-675W. It matters to Pakistani buyers mainly as a name to recognise and mostly avoid — as of 26 July 2026 no Pakistani price list or retailer we checked carries a Titan 650-675W panel, so there is no verified street price for it here. What Risen actually sells in Pakistan is n-type: the 585W TOPCon at about Rs 43/W and the Hyper-ion HJT 700-740W at Rs 41-42.5/W.

Specifications

One warranty caution: at least one export reseller advertises "15 year product warranty" for the same RSM132-8-650BMDG-670BMDG model that Risen's datasheet covers at 12 years. Reseller pages are not warranty documents. If a seller quotes 15 years on a Titan, ask them to put the number and the model code on the invoice.

Honest assessment

Pros. It is a properly engineered large-format module from a BloombergNEF Tier 1 factory, with a 1500V system rating and IP68 junction boxes, and PERC is mature, well-understood technology with two decades of field data behind it. If a container of old stock lands at a genuinely low per-watt price, the panels themselves are not junk.

Cons. Everything about the specification is a generation behind what Risen now sells. The -0.34%/°C temperature coefficient is the worst of the three Risen lines, PERC degrades faster than n-type, and the product warranty is 12 years against 15 on the TOPCon and HJT lines. Efficiency of 21.6% means more roof area per kilowatt. And the dual-glass version weighs around 41kg, which is a real handling and structure consideration. Combined with no verified Pakistani availability, there is very little reason to seek one out.

Who should buy. Almost nobody, at current pricing. The only sensible case is off-grid or ground-mount work where roof area is free and the price is dramatically below n-type — clearly under Rs 38 per watt, with documents. At anything approaching the Rs 43/W that Risen's own 585W n-type commands, buying PERC is paying new-panel money for old technology.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. This is where PERC hurts. At -0.34%/°C, a 40°C rise above test conditions — routine on a Sindh or south Punjab rooftop in June — strips roughly 14% of nameplate, so a 670W Titan delivers about 576W when it is hottest and the fans are running. Risen's own HJT line loses about 10% under the same conditions. Add dust: without washing every 2-4 weeks through the dry season, soiling losses will exceed the cell-technology gap entirely.

Documents versus non-documents. Old-generation stock is exactly the category where undocumented panels circulate, because it moves through secondary channels rather than fresh imports. Undocumented panels cannot be warranty-registered and cannot be graded. On a legacy line with a 12-year clock that may already have been running for years, insist on the import paperwork and the manufacturing date.

Counterfeit check — do this every time. Genuine Risen modules carry a serial laser-etched inside the glass laminate; a barcode on a paper sticker alone proves nothing, because sticker sheets are printed locally and applied to B-grade or relabelled panels. Match the in-glass serial to the frame sticker and the invoice, demand the factory flash-test report for those exact serials with each panel's measured wattage, and have the importer verify the serials with Risen before delivery. With legacy stock, also insist on an on-site power measurement before payment — panels that have sat in a warehouse for years are a common source of quiet underperformance.

Warranty claim reality. A 25-year linear power warranty on a discontinued line is only as good as the importer holding the paperwork, and the clock started at manufacture, not at your purchase. Ask for the production date on the label, keep the invoice and serial photographs together, and price the panel as if the warranty may not be claimable.

Price context (26 July 2026)

There is no Risen Titan price to quote in Pakistan. For orientation: SolarTrade.pk still lists a much older Risen PERC module, the 72-cell RSM72-6-330M-350M, at Rs 15,225 — roughly Rs 43.5 per watt at 350W, which is dearer per watt than current n-type stock and shows how badly stale legacy listings age. Meanwhile Risen's own 585W n-type TOPCon lists at Rs 25,115-25,155 (about Rs 43/W), Jinko Tiger Neo 585W at Rs 40.50-43.45/W and JA Solar DeepBlue 585W at Rs 39.75-42.50/W (SolarPanelPriceInPakistan.online, 25 July 2026). Against those, a PERC Titan only makes sense several rupees per watt cheaper — and if the seller will not go there, buy the n-type.
