WarrantyPylontech's UF5000 operation manual states a DESIGN LIFE of 15 years at 25 C. That is not a warranty term, and we could not open a Pylontech document stating one - so the '5 years' or '10 years' quoted on reseller pages is not something this page will repeat. Ask the UAE seller for the warranty term in writing, and ask who honours it here: Pylontech warranty claims are routinely assessed against BMS event logs, so the installer's commissioning settings become evidence.

The Pylontech UF5000 is a 51.2 V, 5.12 kWh LiFePO4 rack module — the 51.2 V generation that has replaced the older 48 V US-series in most new designs. It is listed in Dubai at AED 3,505 on 5 August 2026, in stock at maxima.solar.

On that shelf it is the cheaper of the two Pylontech modules and the one holding more energy, which is the opposite of what most buyers assume.

Two numbers we will not print, because Pylontech does not: an amp-hour rating (the manual states energy in watt-hours only — the ubiquitous "100 Ah" is arithmetic) and a warranty term (the manual gives a 15-year design life, which is a different thing).

The older, smaller module costs 36% more. Whatever explains that — remaining stock of a legacy line, freight, or simply an untouched price — it is the sort of thing a buyer only sees when both listings are put side by side on one date.

They cannot be mixed. Pylontech's UF5000 manual says it plainly: do not connect the battery with a different type of battery, and the embedded BMS is designed for 51.2 VDC so the modules must not be connected in series. The charge windows alone make it impossible — 56–56.8 V here against a 48 V-series module. If you already own US-series modules and want to expand, you need US-series stock, not this.

Heat is the UAE-specific risk

Cycle life and design life are both quoted at 25 °C. A battery bank in an unconditioned Dubai garage or plant room does not live at 25 °C for much of the year, and lithium ageing is temperature-driven. The specification is not wrong; it is measured somewhere your battery will not be. Put the bank in the coolest ventilated indoor space available and treat the 6,000-cycle figure as a ceiling rather than a forecast.

Before paying

Get the warranty term and the servicing party in writing, and keep the commissioning settings. Pylontech warranty assessments lean on BMS event logs, which means the installer's charge-voltage configuration becomes the evidence in any later claim — a good reason to have the inverter and battery supplied and commissioned by the same party.

One seller is not a market price. AED 3,505 is one Dubai shop's listing on one day and enters our dated UAE price index as exactly that.

Pylontech's UF5000 manual is explicit - do not connect the battery with a different type of battery, and do not connect these modules in series - so the two cannot share a bank. On the same Dubai shelf the US5000 costs AED 4,750 against AED 3,505 for this one, despite holding less energy.

How much usable energy does it actually give?

4,864 Wh, from 5,120 Wh nominal at the manual's 95% depth of discharge. In UAE terms, that is roughly one night of a villa's essential circuits - lights, routers, fridges and one split AC cycling - and nowhere near a night of whole-house cooling. Size from a measured overnight load, not from a headline kWh.

Is it really 100 Ah?

Pylontech's manual does not print an amp-hour figure at all - it states energy in watt-hours. The 100 Ah you will see quoted everywhere is arithmetic (5,120 divided by 51.2), not a published specification. It is very probably right; it is still not something the manufacturer says.

How many can I stack?

Up to 20 modules in one battery group, per the manual - about 102 kWh. What limits a real installation first is the inverter: the battery current window and the communication protocol have to match, so check the inverter's own compatibility list before ordering a second module.

Which inverters on this shelf pair with it?

The Growatt WIT 15K-HU is the clean match on voltage - its rated battery voltage is 51.2 V with a 40-60 V window, which is exactly this module's class, and it accepts up to 290 A. Do not assume the pairing is approved just because the voltages agree: get the inverter maker's own battery compatibility list in writing before buying either.
