WarrantyGrowatt's standard term runs from the installation date on the installation certificate and no more than six months after delivery, with an extension applied for within two years of installation. The decisive clause for a UAE buyer is that coverage is contingent on the country of sale, the country of installation and the after-sales service all being the same country. Neither the term nor an authorised-service claim is stated on the UAE listing - get both in writing and check the serial number against Growatt's own warranty lookup before paying.
Monitoring appShinePhone (Growatt), via optional Wi-Fi/GPRS dongle - not included

The Growatt SPF 6000 ES Plus is a 6 kW single-phase off-grid inverter-charger, listed in Dubai at AED 1,417.50 on 5 August 2026, in stock at maxima.solar.

The most important thing on this page is the word off-grid. This is not a Shams Dubai net-metering inverter; it is the box you buy when the goal is running loads without the grid, or through the grid's absence.

IP20 — indoor only

Every row is from Growatt's own SPF 6000 ES Plus datasheet, accessed 5 August 2026.

The three numbers that get misquoted

IP20. The datasheet rates this unit IP20: protection against fingers, none against water. In UAE practice that means a ventilated plant room or garage, never an exposed wall and never an unroofed rooftop enclosure — a point worth insisting on, because photographs of off-grid inverters mounted outdoors are common in installer marketing.

93% peak efficiency. That is low against the 96–97% typical of grid-tied string inverters, and it is normal for this class: an off-grid inverter-charger is doing battery conversion work a string inverter never does. It is still 7% of everything the array makes, which is worth knowing before comparing this against a grid-tied unit on price per kilowatt.

100 A versus 80 A charging. The 100 A is solar charge current; the AC charger is a separate 80 A row. Sellers routinely quote one figure without saying which.

Where it fits in the UAE

An off-grid inverter is a niche choice in a country with a reliable grid, and the honest use cases are specific: a farm, a site hut, a remote compound or a workshop away from a connection, or a villa owner who wants a genuine backup island rather than a net-metering credit. If the goal is to lower a DEWA bill, the connection process and the approved-equipment list are the constraints that decide the product — and an off-grid inverter is not on that path.

One seller is not a market price. All three figures are what maxima.solar listed on 5 August 2026 and go into our dated UAE price index as exactly that. A second UAE seller has to list the same unit before we can show you a spread — which is the number that actually protects a buyer.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Growatt SPF 6000 ES Plus cost in the UAE?

AED 1,417.50 at maxima.solar on 5 August 2026, in stock. That is one seller's listed price on one day, not a UAE market price - our index needs a second UAE seller listing the same unit before a spread can be published.

Is this inverter grid-tied?

No. The SPF ES Plus is an off-grid inverter-charger: it runs loads from PV and battery, and it can accept the grid as a charging source through its AC input, but it does not export to the grid. If you want a DEWA net-metering system under Shams Dubai, this is the wrong product family - that needs a grid-tied or hybrid inverter that DEWA has approved.

Can I install it outside in Dubai?

No. Growatt's datasheet rates it IP20, which is indoor-only with no protection against water at all. On a UAE villa that means a plant room, garage or shaded utility space with airflow - not a wall in the sun, and not an unroofed rooftop enclosure. Ambient temperature also matters more than the IP rating here: an unventilated cupboard in August will derate it.

How much solar can I connect?

8,000 W maximum PV array power, across two MPP trackers with one string each and 16 A maximum input current per tracker, tracking between 120 and 450 V. The absolute open-circuit ceiling is 500 V, and that is the number to size against - Voc rises as temperature drops, so the coldest morning of the year sets the string length, not the average day.

Which is the real charge current, 100 A or 80 A?

Both, for different sources. The datasheet's maximum solar charge current is 100 A; the AC charger figure is 80 A. They are separate rows and sellers conflate them. If you are sizing a battery bank around charge rate, use the one that matches how you will actually be charging.

Can I run more than one in parallel?

Yes - the datasheet states parallel capability up to six units, which gives 36 kW. That is a genuine scaling path for a workshop or a villa with a large backup load, but plan it at purchase: parallel kits, matched firmware and identical battery banks are far easier to buy together than to retrofit.
