The Growatt MOD 10KTL3-X is a 10kW three-phase grid-tied string inverter - 15kW of panels in, 10,000W of three-phase AC out, no battery and no backup socket. As of 2 August 2026 it sells in Pakistan for Rs 170,000-190,000: Rs 170,000 at Kamal Solar, which lists it out of stock, and Rs 190,000 at C-Power, in stock. The successor badge - sold variously as MOD 10KTL3-X2 or "10kW Pro" - runs Rs 188,000 to Rs 199,000 at W11Stop and Subhan Electronics on the same day.
This, not any off-grid box, is what Growatt actually sells in volume in Pakistan: a net-metering inverter for a three-phase rooftop, at 98.6% peak efficiency and 14 kg.

Two numbers deserve a sentence. The 1,100 V DC ceiling with a 140 V tracking floor is a wide window that makes string design forgiving, and the whole unit weighs 14 kg - one person on a ladder, not two. The absence anyone must plan around is the battery: when the grid drops, this inverter stops, load shedding or not.
Honest assessment
Pros. For a net-metered three-phase roof this is a lot of inverter for the money. 98.6% peak and 98.1% European efficiency are at the top of what string inverters achieve; IP66 with convection cooling means no fan, which is the part that fails first in dusty installations; Type II surge protection on both the DC and AC side is fitted as standard rather than sold as an accessory, which matters on Pakistani feeders. String-fault monitoring and optional AFCI put it a tier above the budget three-phase units it sits beside. And at Rs 170,000-199,000 it is priced inside the same band as brands with far less published documentation.
Cons. No battery, no backup - if load shedding is the reason you are buying solar, this is the wrong product and the SPH5000 hybrid or a MOD-XH is the right one. Wi-Fi is an optional dongle, so the ShinePhone monitoring everyone assumes is included is a separate purchase. One string per MPP tracker constrains layouts on complicated roofs. And the Pakistani listing chaos around this model is severe enough to be a real buying risk: on 2 August 2026 we found the same specification sold under three different model numbers at three shops, and a "10kW three phase" listing carrying a North American split-phase part number.
Who should buy. Owners of a three-phase connection with a net-metering application in progress, roughly 12-15 kW of panels, and no need for battery backup - which in practice means commercial premises and larger houses on stable feeders. Anyone whose evenings are dark should be shopping the hybrid range instead.
Pakistan reality check
The model-number problem is the model's biggest hazard. On one day, four Pakistani shops presented Growatt's 10kW three-phase on-grid inverter four ways. Kamal Solar and C-Power call it MOD 10KTL3-X. W11Stop lists a "MOD 10KTL3-X2 10KW PRO" at Rs 193,000 and, separately, a "10KW ON GRID SOLAR INVERTER (X2 PRO)" at Rs 188,000. Subhan Electronics sells a "Growatt PRO 10KW 10KTL3-X2" whose own published specification table - 425 x 387 x 178 mm, 14 kg, IP66, two MPPTs, AFCI, 15,000 W maximum DC - is the MOD 10KTL3-X datasheet line for line. Growatt's official product page covers the family as "MOD 3-15KTL3-X / X2(Pro)", so both suffixes are real; what is not established is which one is in the carton in front of you. Read the model number off the unit and check it against Growatt's own datasheet before payment.
Warranty: three different answers in one market. Growatt's datasheet says 5 years standard with 10 optional. Subhan Electronics prints "Warranty in Years: 10" on its listing. C-Power offers its own shop-level "2 years replaced warranty". Growatt's official position is that the ten-year term is an extension applied for within two years of installation, that the standard term starts from the installation date on the installation certificate and no more than six months after delivery, and that coverage is contingent on the country of sale, the country of installation and the after-sales service all being the same. Freight is covered only back to the original selling country. That last clause is what turns a cheap grey import into an uninsured one.
Verify before you pay - Growatt gives you two tools nobody else does. Growatt runs a serial-number warranty lookup on its support site that returns model, shipping date and warranty period, or reports no record. It also runs a Distributor Certificate Checker so a dealer's "authorized" claim can be tested against a certificate number. On 2 August 2026 we could not open any Growatt-published page naming a Pakistani service centre - the brand's own contact URL returned 404 for us - so these two checks are the only manufacturer-side verification a Pakistani buyer actually has. Use both, in the shop, before money moves.
Heat, dust and the fanless body. IP66 and a +60 C ceiling are real ratings and this unit is designed for outdoor mounting, but convection cooling means the fins are the entire cooling system. Mount it shaded and vertical, leave clearance, and brush it monthly. The upside of no fan is that there is no bearing to seize in year three.
Grid voltage. Pakistani feeders swing, and the datasheet's AC window is 340-440 V line-to-line with a 45-65 Hz frequency range - wide, but not infinite. Over-grid-voltage trips on rooftop inverters in Pakistan are usually a grid-code or feeder-voltage problem rather than a fault in the box; the Growatt error-code guide and our grid overvoltage guide cover the diagnosis. Note that the two-digit SPF fault numbers in the Growatt error guide belong to the off-grid line - a grid-tied MOD raises Growatt's own numbered errors instead.
Price context vs rivals (August 2026)
Same store, same day, the whole 10kW on-grid shelf - W11Stop, 2 August 2026, every priced listing its own search returns:
10 kW on-grid | Phase, as the listing states it | Price (2 Aug 2026) |
|---|---|---|
Knox 10kW G2 (ASW 10K LT-G2) | three-phase (LT), IP66, 98.4% | Rs 165,000 |
Fox ESS T10-G3 | three-phase | Rs 173,000 |
three-phase | Rs 175,000 | |
Growatt 10kW on-grid (X2 Pro) | not stated on the listing | Rs 188,000 |
Gripsun KStar Blue 10kW | three-phase | Rs 190,000 |
Hopewind 10kW | not stated on the listing | Rs 190,000 |
Growatt MOD 10KTL3-X2 10kW Pro | not stated on the listing | Rs 193,000 |
not stated on the listing | Rs 200,000 | |
Chint 10kW | not stated on the listing | Rs 205,000 |
three-phase (per the listing URL) | Rs 262,500 | |
Nippon Energy 10kW | three-phase | inquiry only, no price shown |
Growatt is upper-middle on that shelf, not mid-shelf. Four priced listings undercut it and three sit above it. The cheapest, the Knox 10kW G2, is Rs 165,000 - a three-phase IP66 unit whose own listing quotes 98.4% maximum efficiency against Growatt's 98.6%, so Growatt's Rs 188,000 is a 14% premium for two-tenths of a percentage point and a datasheet you can check. The dearest, Inverex's three-phase Nitrox at Rs 262,500, is 36% above the Growatt X2 Pro. Against Chint at Rs 205,000 the argument is simply price; against the Knox and the Fox ESS it is documentation and the serial-checkable warranty, which is a real but narrow advantage - decide whether Rs 15,000-23,000 is what it is worth to you.
Across shops the spread is wider than within one. The same 10kW Growatt three-phase on-grid inverter, on 2 August 2026, was Rs 170,000 at Kamal Solar (out of stock), Rs 188,000 and Rs 193,000 at W11Stop, Rs 190,000 at C-Power, Rs 195,000 at Solarshop (listed under a US model number) and Rs 199,000 at Subhan Electronics, reduced from Rs 220,000. That is a 17% band between in-stock sellers on one day for one machine - get three quotes, and make each one name the exact model number.
For the battery-capable version of this box, Kamal Solar listed a MOD 10KTL3-XH (BP) at Rs 170,000 on the same day - same class, battery-ready, and on that shop's shelf no more expensive. If backup matters to you, price that and the SPH5000 before committing to a pure on-grid unit.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Growatt MOD 10KTL3-X cost in Pakistan today?
Rs 170,000 to Rs 190,000 as of 2 August 2026 - Rs 170,000 at Kamal Solar, which lists it out of stock, and Rs 190,000 at C-Power, in stock. The successor badge, sold as MOD 10KTL3-X2 or "10kW Pro", runs Rs 188,000-199,000 at W11Stop and Subhan Electronics on the same day. A 10kW Growatt three-phase on-grid inverter therefore costs between Rs 170,000 and Rs 199,000 depending on shop and suffix.
Does the MOD 10KTL3-X take a battery?
No. It is a pure on-grid string inverter - solar in, three-phase AC out, no battery port and no backup socket. When the grid goes down, it stops. Growatt's battery-capable equivalents are the MOD-XH battery-ready variants and the SPH hybrids; Kamal Solar lists a MOD 10KTL3-XH (BP) at Rs 170,000 alongside this unit, which is the same class of box with the battery capability.
What string voltage can the MOD 10KTL3-X handle?
Up to 1,100 V DC maximum, starting at 200 V, tracking between 140 V and 1,000 V with a nominal point of 580 V. Maximum input current is 13 A per tracker with a 16 A short-circuit rating, and one string per tracker. That 1,100 V ceiling is a different world from Growatt's off-grid SPF models, and none of the 450 V advice written for those applies here.
How much solar can I put on a 10kW MOD?
Growatt's datasheet gives 15,000 W as the maximum recommended PV power for the MOD 10KTL3-X - a DC/AC ratio of 1.5 - while the family is rated to a 2.0 ratio in general. With 585 W panels that is roughly 25 modules across two strings. Oversizing is normal in Pakistan because full-sun hours are short at the ends of the day; just keep the cold-morning open-circuit voltage under 1,100 V.
Why do Pakistani shops sell this under so many different names?
Because they paste in whichever datasheet they have. On 2 August 2026, Subhan Electronics sold a "PRO 10KW 10KTL3-X2" whose published spec table is the MOD 10KTL3-X sheet line for line - 425 x 387 x 178 mm, 14 kg, IP66, 2 MPPT, AFCI. Solarshop listed a "Growatt 10kW three phase grid-tied" under model 10000MTLP-US, which is a North American split-phase part number. W11Stop's "10kW single phase hybrid" page carries MOD 10KTL3-XH copy for a three-phase unit. Match the model number on the box against Growatt's own datasheet, not against the shop's title.
Is 98.6% efficiency real?
It is Growatt's own published maximum for the MOD 10-15KTL3-X family; the European weighted figure - the one that reflects a real day - is 98.1%, and MPPT tracking efficiency is 99.9%. Worth noting because our own service-centre comparison guide places Growatt in a "98.0% to 98.4%" band, which understates this model and overstates the SPH hybrids at 97.5%.
