The Solis S6-EH1P6K-L-PLUS is a 6 kW single-phase, low-voltage (48 V class) hybrid inverter from Ginlong Technologies, running grid, solar, battery and generator inputs on one box with sub-4-millisecond backup switching. Three independently fetched Pakistani retailers priced it at Rs 240,000-245,000 on 25 July 2026.

This is the SKU that sells in Pakistan when someone says "Solis 6kW hybrid" — not the S6-EH1P6K-L-PRO, a different and barely stocked product.

Honest assessment

Genuinely good. The array headroom: 12 kW of recommended panel against 6 kW of AC output is a 2:1 ratio, the right shape for Pakistan where December output collapses. IP66 and a rated -40 to +60 °C envelope are real datasheet numbers. Bluetooth plus a 7-inch LCD lets a competent installer commission it with no internet on site.

Average. 135 A of charge/discharge is adequate but not generous — the 8 kW PRO carries 190 A. Two strings on two trackers limits layout freedom on multi-orientation rooftops.

The efficiency lie you will be told. Many Pakistani listings advertise this hybrid at 98.4-98.7%, wrong by roughly two and a half points: the datasheet says 96.2% maximum, 96.1% EU. The 98.7% figure comes from Solis's on-grid three-phase range.

Owner feedback. We could not source any Pakistani owner reviews of this hardware — not on Reddit, PakWheels or retrievable forums — and say so rather than invent sentiment. The verifiable feedback is global and app-side: login failures ("The App says 'Net Error'"), roughly three-minute data refresh in Bluetooth local mode, and a "Bluetooth device replies to illegal data address" error when editing Storage Mode (Google Play reviews, fetched 25 July 2026).

Who should buy it. A household running 4-8 kW of panel that wants storage-first economics after net metering ended in February 2026, and will buy a battery from Solis's approved list.

Pakistan reality check

Heat and dust. The envelope tops out at 60 °C ambient and the 6K is fan-cooled, unlike the smaller convection-cooled models in the family; installer reporting lists fan wear and overheating among common Solis fault classes. IP66 protects the enclosure, not the heat path — a dust-blanketed heatsink runs hot before anything trips. Mount it shaded, off west-facing walls, clean it annually.

Grid instability. The alarm you are most likely to meet is OV-G-V (over grid voltage). Solis's own service documentation describes it as commonly caused by the factory grid code not matching the destination market's grid standard rather than by a hardware fault. Service and grey stock. No walk-in Solis service address is published for Pakistan — only a Lahore landline, a WhatsApp number and two emails; verified cities are Lahore and Karachi. No Solis-specific counterfeit advisory for Pakistan could be found and we will not invent one; the documented risk is contractual, since Ginlong's warranty needs an undamaged legible label plus invoice and installation report. Photograph the serial label before it goes on the wall.

Price context

At Rs 240,000-245,000 (verified 25 July 2026) this sits in the mainstream 6 kW hybrid band, with a tight 2% spread across three dealers; a listing well below it usually means a different variant.

Direct rivals: Inverex Nitrox 6kW wins on service-network depth, which for many buyers outweighs a datasheet; Growatt SPH 6000 is the closest international hybrid on app maturity, carrying the grey-import caution Growatt itself published for Pakistan; Knox Krypton 6kW is a Pakistani-branded Deye unit competing on local presence.

One Solis-specific caution: at the same retailer on the same day, the 8 kW PRO was cheaper than the 8 kW PLUS. Never assume the higher suffix costs more — compare model strings, not kW.
