Deye Solar Inverters

Deye is the most-discussed inverter brand in Pakistan that you cannot actually buy in Pakistan. Ningbo Deye Inverter Technology builds the SUN-SG04LP1 and SUN-SG04LP3 low-voltage hybrids that half the market's specifications are quietly copied from - and on 2 August 2026, nine Pakistani sales channels we opened had exactly zero Deye-badged inverters for sale between them.

So this page publishes no price. Not a cautious price, not a range: none. W11Stop returns "There is no product that matches the search criteria." Kamal Solar returns "0 results found for 'deye'." Solarshop, Solar Trade and SunSolar all return "No products were found matching your selection." Daraz returns "Search No Result" for "deye sun hybrid". OLX's own Deye query page serves several dozen listings - the count moves hour to hour - and not one of them names Deye. C-Power's search for "deye" surfaces a BYD battery; PowerhouseExpress's surfaces an extension socket.

What Deye is in Pakistan is a platform wearing other people's badges - and, since November 2024, a cautionary tale about what a manufacturer can do to a box on your wall from 4,000 km away.

Current Deye lineup and prices (2 August 2026)

The one Pakistani page that does print Deye numbers, solarpricepakistan.com.pk, labels them "2026 market estimates" that "vary by city, dealer and stock", carries no date, and sells nothing. Beyond Green Solar's Deye 12kW page renders no price at all and routes you to a contact form. Pakistan Solar Traders calls the SUN-12K "Pakistan's #1 selling hybrid inverter in 2025" and then offers a WhatsApp quote instead of a figure. Three pages that name Deye, three pages with nothing you can buy.

The only hard number the Pakistani state will give you is a floor. FBR Valuation Ruling No. 2015/2025 (25 July 2025) sets minimum customs values per kW, in two columns: Category A for brands it recognises as tier-1, Category B for everyone else.

Note 1 of that ruling names the Category A brands: "Huawei, Inverex, Goodwe, Growatt, Solis, Sungrow, Fronius, Solax, Sineng, ABB, SMA and others." Inverex is on Pakistan's official tier-1 list. Deye - which builds the platform Inverex's Nitrox fault codes come from - is not. That single line tells you more about how this market is organised than any price table.

One qualification, because it is easy to draw the wrong conclusion from that table: Note 1 does not stop at the brand list. It goes on to say that these brands import IP65 and IP66 inverters, and that where other brands import IP65 or IP66 hybrid inverters, the Category A values apply to those goods too. Deye's SG04 hybrids are IP65. So a Deye-badged import is not assessed in the cheaper column by virtue of being unlisted - it lands in Category A anyway. Being absent from the named list costs Deye recognition, not customs value.

Honest assessment

Pros. Deye's engineering documentation is the best in this category and it is public: a versioned Approved Battery List naming roughly 120 battery brands with the exact lithium-mode setup number for each, full technical data tables on the manufacturer's own site, and a warranty agreement that states its terms in plain (if awkward) English. The hardware itself is genuinely capable - 48V low-voltage architecture that matches the LiFePO4 packs Pakistan actually stocks, dual MPPT, generator input, 16-unit parallel, IP65, and derating that starts at 45C rather than 40C. It is popular for a reason, and the Pakistani installer base that has learned the F01-F64 code set on rebadged units has transferable knowledge.

Cons. In Pakistan, none of that is buyable. There is no Deye retail channel, no Deye-named distributor, no Deye service address, and no Deye price you can hold anyone to. The warranty is worse than "unsupported" - it is actively conditional on paperwork a grey buyer cannot produce: a serial number, and a "formal sales contract signed with Deye" that your Lahore dealer does not have. And the November 2024 shutdown proved the failure mode is not theoretical: Deye can and did brick internet-connected units in this country by firmware. A Deye-badged box here is a device whose manufacturer has already demonstrated it would rather disable it than support it.

Who should buy. Nobody should go looking for a Deye badge in Pakistan. Buyers who want the Deye platform with an actual Pakistani warranty counter should look at Inverex Nitrox, the brand Deye's own lock screen told Pakistani owners to contact. Buyers who want an international brand with a documented Pakistani import chain should look at Solis or Growatt. If someone offers you a genuine Deye-badged unit anyway, read the reality check below before you pay - and price it as a device with no warranty and a remote off-switch.

Pakistan reality check

The November 2024 shutdown - the fact that defines this brand here. On 15 November 2024 Deye remotely disabled internet-connected inverters sold outside its authorised channels in the USA, UK and Pakistan (with reports from Canada, Puerto Rico and Panama). The affected screens displayed, verbatim: "This inverter is not allowed use at Pakistan/USA/UK / Pakistan contact inverex / USA contact Sol-Ark / UK contact Sunsynk / Pls return to your supplier. The following page requires a 5-digit pass code to start. This pass code is automatically generated overseas." That message is the single most useful document about Deye in Pakistan, because Deye wrote it: it names Inverex as the Pakistani channel, Sunsynk as the UK one and Sol-Ark as the US one, in Deye's own firmware. The policy did not end - forum owners through 2025-26 report new SG05LP1-EU-SM2 stock shipping geo-locked for EU/UK/USA/Pakistan, with Deye stating that units bought through authorised distributors are not locked and buyers disputing that in practice.

The rebadge relationship, stated plainly. Deye manufactures for other brands as well as selling its own. Sol-Ark (USA) and Sunsynk (UK) are Deye-built, and the strongest evidence is Deye's own firmware - the November 2024 lock screen routed each country to its badge by name, and Sol-Ark's public response to the shutdown quibbled over "OEM" versus "contract manufacturer" rather than denying the relationship. (We checked SolarAssistant's documentation for the commonly repeated claim that it treats Deye, SunSynk and Sol-Ark as one inverter type; on 2 August 2026 its help pages list them as separate per-model entries, so we do not repeat that claim.) In Pakistan the visible fingerprint is the fault-code set: our inverter error-code glossary records that Inverex Nitrox screens show the Deye-style F01 to F64 codes, while Axpert-derived Inverex lines show two-digit codes. Do not extend that to Knox: our Knox error-code work traces the Krypton line to Voltronic Power's InfiniSolar platform, and a Deye F-code table applied to a Knox screen produces a wrong diagnosis. One brand can ship two platforms; one platform can wear five brands.

Batteries and BMS - where Deye's documentation actually earns its reputation. Deye's Approved Battery List DY-LV48-0121 (25 February 2026) covers the SUN-3/3.6/5/6K-SG04LP1-EU and SUN-5/6/8/10/12K-SG04LP3-EU explicitly, and lists each approved pack with its interface and its lithium-mode setup number. Over CAN at setup 00 it clears Pylontech's entire 48V range including the UF5000 that the Pakistani channel has moved to, plus Dyness B4850/A48100, Narada 48NPFC80/100/150/200, BYD Battery-Box LV5.0, Fox ESS LD-48100P, Livoltek BLF48100/BLF51-5 and Soluna's 4K/5K packs. The RS485 path at setup 12 is narrower and notably older - Pylontech's US-series and UP5000 are on it, the UF5000 is not, so a UF5000 owner needs the CAN cable, not RS485. Absent from the list entirely: Knox, Osaka Lithium, Fronus, Vaults and Dongjin, four of the packs a Pakistani installer is most likely to put in the same rack. Deye's own note is the whole warning: "The purchaser should confirm with the battery supplier if the battery is compatible with Deye inverter, or Deye will not be liable for any failure that caused by communication issue."

Genuine versus grey - and why the usual checklist does not save you. With no authorised Pakistani channel, every Deye-badged unit here is by definition outside the authorised chain, which is exactly the population Deye disabled in 2024. The warranty text makes the arithmetic worse: cover is 5 years from installation "and no more than 5 and half years from the date of delivery from Deye factory", so a unit that spent eighteen months in a Karachi warehouse arrives with three and a half years left at best - and only if a serial number and a formal Deye sales contract exist to claim against. Deye's own store-verification page names authorised entities for Europe (Z-Cube International Logistics Solutions GmbH) and Australia (Hillside View Pty Ltd) and none for Pakistan; its published service numbers are +86 lines in Ningbo. If a Pakistani seller claims authorised Deye status, ask to see the sales contract clause 5 refers to, and ask whether the unit is geo-locked. Both questions have a paper answer or they have no answer.

Service and monitoring. Monitoring is SOLARMAN Smart over an optional WiFi, GPRS, 4G or LAN logger - which is also the internet connection through which the 2024 lock arrived. Deye publishes no Pakistani service centre. Warranty service mode in the agreement is "customer replace, faulty units return to Deye" with Deye arranging spare parts - a return-to-China process with no local counter behind it.

Heat and the grid. The SG04 hybrids are rated -40 to +60C with derating above 45C, which is the right envelope for Multan and Jacobabad summers, and both families accept a diesel generator as a charge source - relevant wherever load-shedding still bridges to a genset. Neither point is disputed. Neither point is buyable in a Deye box here.

Price context vs rivals (August 2026)

With no Deye price to compare, the honest comparison is what a Pakistani buyer can actually purchase in the same class. These are individual live listings read on Daraz.pk on 2 August 2026 - single sellers, not market rates, and quoted here only to show that the shelf is full of everything except Deye.

Read the table the way a buyer should: the Deye row is not "expensive" or "cheap", it is empty. Everything in this category that is genuinely for sale in Pakistan is for sale under someone else's name, and the brand with the tier-1 customs recognition and the service network - Inverex - is the one Deye's own firmware told Pakistani owners to call.
