LONGi Solar Panels in Saudi Arabia: Prices, Series and Verification
Key Takeaways
- LONGi has the deepest publicly priced, in-stock brand-name presence we found in Saudi retail: 630W to 660W modules at SAR 750 to SAR 950 (August 2026), or roughly 1.19 to 1.44 SAR per watt.
- Those listings publish a wattage and no series. LONGi's own Hi-MO 9 page covers 635W to 660W, so a 630W listing is a different product family — and you cannot tell which from the listing.
- LONGi's own page states a 12-year product and 30-year power warranty for Hi-MO 9. Get whatever a Saudi retailer quotes you in writing, with the honouring party named.
- Verification is the manufacturer's job, not the seller's: LONGi publishes an authenticity check and a per-module code system.
Why does LONGi matter in the Saudi market specifically?
Because it is the brand you can actually see a price for.
Most of the Saudi solar trade is quote-only. The large distributors and turnkey installers publish products and contact forms, not prices — a structural feature of the market we set out in our guide to the solar system cost in Saudi Arabia. Against that background, a brand with a full, in-stock, publicly-priced range on a Saudi specialty store is genuinely unusual.
At the time of checking, that brand was LONGi. In-stock listings at solarcells.sa ran the full ladder — 630W, 640W, 645W, 650W and 660W — at SAR 750 to SAR 950 (August 2026). By comparison, the Canadian Solar SKUs on the same store were listed but out of stock across the board.
That makes LONGi the practical reference point for what a modern large-format module costs in the Kingdom, which is why it anchors the band in our guide to the solar panel price in KSA.
What do LONGi panels cost in SAR?
Module | Price (SAR) | Per watt | Stock at time of check |
|---|---|---|---|
Longi 630W | 750 | ~1.19 SAR/W | In stock |
Longi 640W | 850 | ~1.33 SAR/W | In stock |
Longi 645W | 850 | ~1.32 SAR/W | In stock |
Longi 650W | 900 | ~1.38 SAR/W | In stock |
Longi 660W | 950 | ~1.44 SAR/W | In stock |
Figures as of August 2026.
Two things are worth reading off that table beyond the headline.
First, the per-watt rate rises with wattage across this range, which is the opposite of the usual pattern. Ordinarily larger modules are cheaper per watt because fixed per-module costs spread further. Here the top of the range carries a premium, which usually indicates a newer or higher-specification product rather than simply a bigger one — and reinforces the point below about series.
Second, none of these are the cheapest per watt in the Saudi market. Our own 5 August 2026 survey recorded a 270W polycrystalline module at Riyadh-registered dlel.sa at SAR 0.93 per watt. That is legacy technology, not a competitor to these modules, and comparing the two per-watt figures directly is the most common way a Saudi panel comparison goes wrong.
Which LONGi series are you actually being sold?
This is the gap between the listing and the product, and it is a real one.
LONGi's own Hi-MO 9 product page describes a 635W to 660W range — with a stated capability up to 670W — built on HPBC 2.0 cell technology with Tairay wafers, module codes running LR7-72HYD-635M through LR7-72HYD-660M, and module efficiency up to 24.80%. Other current LONGi families reach into the same wattage band on different cell architecture and glass construction.
Now look back at the Saudi listings. They publish 630W, 640W, 645W, 650W and 660W with no series designation. The 630W entry sits below the Hi-MO 9 range entirely, so it belongs to a different family. The 640W to 660W entries could belong to more than one.
That matters because the differences between families are not cosmetic: cell architecture, bifaciality, low-light behaviour, temperature coefficient and warranty terms all move. In Saudi ambient temperatures, temperature coefficient is money rather than trivia.
The fix is one line in your quote: the full model code. With it you can pull the correct datasheet and know what you bought. Without it, you have a wattage. Our guide to grey-import solar panels in Saudi Arabia covers why that same missing line is also the entry point for undocumented stock.
What warranty comes with a LONGi module?
LONGi's own Hi-MO 9 page states a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty.
Treat that as the manufacturer's position and the retailer's terms as a separate claim to be checked. Warranty terms quoted by retailers and by manufacturer pages do not always agree — we have found them diverging in other markets — so ask for the term the seller is offering in writing, and ask which entity inside Saudi Arabia honours it.
Then ask the question that catches most people out: is this specific consignment covered? Warranty eligibility follows the distribution channel, and a factory-genuine module bought outside the official channel can be refused. Get written confirmation that the serial numbers you are being supplied are covered.
How do you verify a LONGi module in Saudi Arabia?
LONGi publishes an official module authenticity check on its own website, and has rolled out a per-module anti-counterfeiting identity system it calls One Module One Code, attaching a unique code to each module so authenticity and documentation can be confirmed by scanning it.
Use it properly:
- Type longi.com yourself. A verification link sent by a seller proves nothing about the panel.
- Read the laminated identity, not a peel-off sticker. Packaging labels are not identity.
- Sample across the whole consignment, not one convenient module.
- Photograph every label before installation. Once the array is mounted, the labels face the roof.
Then close the loop with the conformity question. Imported goods entering Saudi Arabia run through SASO's SALEEM/SABER conformity regime, and your supplier should be able to say which conformity documentation covers your consignment.
What should you ask before ordering LONGi panels in KSA?
Ask for the full model code and the matching datasheet — not the wattage.
Ask for confirmation of stock on the day. Saudi specialty-store inventory visibly turns over: on the same store, in the same month, an entire competing brand's range was listed and unavailable.
Ask for the warranty term in writing, with the Saudi honouring party named, plus written confirmation that your serial numbers are covered through an official channel.
And ask for the delivered price including VAT and freight before paying. Then check the hardware line against the published band above and against our Saudi panel price index, and check the rest of the quote against our guide to reading a Saudi solar quote. Our method page sets out how each figure here was verified.
Frequently asked questions
How much do LONGi panels cost in Saudi Arabia?
In-stock listings at Saudi specialty store solarcells.sa ran SAR 750 for a 630W module up to SAR 950 for a 660W module (August 2026) — roughly 1.19 to 1.44 SAR per watt. That is the deepest publicly-priced brand-name range we found in the Kingdom.
Which LONGi series are those wattages?
The listings do not say, which is the problem. LONGi's own Hi-MO 9 page covers 635W to 660W on HPBC 2.0 cells with module codes LR7-72HYD-635M to -660M. A 630W listing therefore cannot be Hi-MO 9. Ask for the full model code before you buy.
What warranty does a LONGi Hi-MO 9 module carry?
LONGi's own Hi-MO 9 product page states a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. Warranty terms quoted by retailers do not always match manufacturer pages, so get the term and the honouring party inside Saudi Arabia in writing.
How do I verify a LONGi panel is genuine?
LONGi publishes a module authenticity check on its own site and operates a per-module anti-counterfeiting identity system it calls One Module One Code. Type the manufacturer's domain yourself rather than following a seller's link, and check a sample across the consignment.
