Osda Solar Solar Panels
China (NINGBO OSDA SOLAR CO., LTD)
Osda Solar — Ningbo Osda Solar Co., Ltd — is a Chinese module maker that reaches the UAE through general solar resellers. One Dubai seller, maxima.solar, listed its N-type 585W module at AED 415, in stock, on 5 August 2026.
Osda earns a page here for an unusual reason: it is the only panel on that shelf whose listed electrical specification matches its manufacturer's own datasheet, value for value. Voc 51.16 V, Isc 14.55 A, Vmpp 42.52 V, Impp 13.76 A, N-type — all five appear on Osda's ODA-144MHD datasheet exactly as the listing states them. On a shelf where another brand's efficiency figure is printed identically across four different wattages, that is worth naming.
What is listed in Dubai today
Listing | Price (AED) | Per watt | Stock, 5 Aug 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
Osda Solar Panel DS16 144-585M | 415 | 0.71 | In stock |
Osda Solar Panel DS16 144-590M | 380 | 0.64 | Out of stock |
The 590W listing carries a lower price and was not purchasable on 5 August 2026, so we publish no live price for it — an out-of-stock number is a historical fact, not an offer.
Two corrections to the listing copy
Even here, the seller's own text needs two fixes, both against Osda's datasheet:
- "9 busbar" is wrong — it is 16BB. Osda's datasheet specifies SMBB super multi-busbar construction with 16 busbars. More busbars shorten the current path across each cell and cut resistive loss. The seller is underselling its own product.
- "30 years warranty" is half the story. Osda publishes 15 years product (material and workmanship) and 30 years linear power output. The 30 only promises the module still makes a stated percentage of rated power; the 15 is what replaces a panel that has physically failed. Sellers quote the long number.
There is also a naming trap. "DS16-144-585M" is not an Osda part number — it appears nowhere in Osda's documentation. It follows the seller's own SKU pattern, the same one it uses for its in-house DUSOL panels, and the same site attaches a "DS16 144-585M" string to a Jinko listing too. The real Osda designation is ODA585-36V-MHD, in the ODA-144MHD series. Warranty claims are made against part numbers, so put the Osda one on the invoice.
How it compares on this shelf
Panel, same seller, 5 Aug 2026 | Price (AED) | Per watt | Datasheet-traceable? |
|---|---|---|---|
Osda 585W N-type | 415 | 0.71 | Yes — ODA585-36V-MHD |
AE Solar 585M | 410 | 0.70 | No — model unresolved |
AE Solar 710W | 450 | 0.63 | No — model unresolved |
The Osda module costs about 1% more per watt than the AE Solar panel beside it. What the extra buys is a part number you can hold a warranty against.
