Autel EV Chargers

Autel - the Shenzhen company better known in Pakistani workshops for its MaxiSys diagnostic scanners - sells home and commercial EV chargers under Autel Energy, and its MaxiCharger AC Wallbox (7kW single-phase, 11/22kW three-phase, Type 2) is the model that reaches Pakistan. We publish no verified market price: as of 2 August 2026 exactly one Pakistani retailer lists the range - Acom Distributors in Lahore, asking Rs 245,000 (7kW), Rs 315,000 (11kW) and Rs 380,000 (22kW), all "call for order" - and one seller's ask is not a market.

That single-seller finding is itself the most useful fact on this page. We checked Pakistan's dedicated charger stores on the same day: evchargers.com.pk returns zero results for "autel" and stocks Wallbox, Rolec, Solinteg and RNR instead; W11Stop's EV shelf is RNR and Tesla-EVX with no Autel at all; Daraz and OLX return zero Autel EV charger listings; skbizcorp sells EN+ and GK. Whatever Autel's global charger footprint, in Pakistani retail it is a one-importer brand today.

Every AC price above is one importer's asking price with no online checkout - the listings say "call for order," and Acom's own site warns prices "can be changed without prior notice" on currency movement. Treat the numbers as an opening position for negotiation, not a street price.

Honest assessment

Pros. This is a real manufacturer's product with a public spec sheet, which much of Pakistan's unbranded wallbox stock is not: built-in Type B DC-sensitive residual-current protection (a genuine safety line-item - many cheap units require a separate, often-skipped Type B RCD at the board), IP65 weather rating with a -40C to +55C operating window that shrugs at Pakistani summers, and full app/RFID/OCPP connectivity. Autel's diagnostics-brand recognition means Pakistani auto trade channels already know the name.

Cons. One importer, no official Pakistani presence, no verified market price. The 3-year warranty Autel advertises is an official-channel promise - here it is worth whatever Acom puts in writing. At Rs 245,000 for 7kW, the ask sits Rs 20,000 above the AMT 7kW on the same shelf and Rs 137,000 above W11Stop's RNR 7.4kW; you are paying a premium for brand and protection electronics in a market where nobody competes on Autel's price. And connected chargers carry connected risks: at Pwn2Own Automotive 2026, researchers were paid $50,000 for compromising a MaxiCharger, per press coverage - fine if firmware gets updated, a liability if the importer never pushes updates.

Who should buy. Buyers who specifically want documented Type B RCD protection and app control from a named manufacturer, and who can extract a written warranty from the importer. Budget buyers get a working 7.4kW Type 2 wallbox for less than half the ask elsewhere; BYD buyers should first check what their dealer bundles for free.

Pakistan reality check

Grey import, stated plainly. We found no Autel Energy office, distributor announcement, or authorized-partner listing for Pakistan on 2 August 2026. That makes every Autel charger here an importer-channel unit. This is the norm for Pakistani EV chargers - the C13 rule applies: ask for the importer's name, the warranty term in writing, and the IEC 62196-2 conformity documentation, and walk if any is missing.

Sanctioned load is the real cost. A 7kW single-phase wallbox draws about 30A on its own, against typical domestic sanctioned loads of 2-5kW. Under S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, domestic fixed charges are billed per kW of sanctioned load - the published domestic ToU band charges Rs 675/kW/month (applied, per IESCO's guide, on 50% of sanctioned load or recorded maximum demand, whichever is higher), with off-peak energy at Rs 34.53/kWh. The load extension and the standing charge it triggers can cost more over five years than the charger. The 11/22kW units additionally need a 400V three-phase connection.

What the car already ships with. BYD Pakistan's Atto 2 / Sealion 7 launch offer bundled a complimentary 7kW wall-mounted charger with bookings until 28 February 2026, with free installation for Sealion 7 buyers. That offer window has closed, but it set the precedent: before spending Rs 245,000+ aftermarket, ask your dealer in writing what charging hardware comes with the car.

Type 2 vs GB/T. The MaxiCharger range is Type 2, matching officially sold EVs in Pakistan. Grey-imported Chinese-domestic-market cars carry GB/T AC inlets - the tell is on Acom's own shelf, which sells a Type 2 to GB/T adapter at Rs 58,000 (2 Aug 2026). Verify your inlet before buying any wallbox; an adapter that costs a quarter of the charger is a bad surprise.

Security. If you install any app-connected charger, Autel included: change default credentials, keep firmware current, and isolate it on a guest network. The Pwn2Own result above is why.

In both classes Autel prices near the top of the shelf - on Acom's own shelf it is the most expensive AC unit listed. The premium buys the documented Type B RCD, the IP65/-40C envelope and the app stack; it does not buy a service network, because there isn't one.
