| Warranty | Not claimable in Pakistan under any circumstances. Tesla has no service centre, parts channel or authorised representative here, so residual factory cover from the country of first sale cannot be exercised locally. Tesla's own published warranty terms could not be verified during this check because tesla.com blocked automated access. Budget as if the car is out of warranty from the day it lands. |
There is no Tesla ex-factory price in Pakistan on 26 July 2026, because Tesla sells no cars here — no importer, no dealer, no service centre, no announced entry. This page is about buying an orphan, and we are going to talk you out of it.
Tesla builds BEVs only. No hybrid has ever existed in the range.
What exists here, and at what asking price
Pakistan admits right-hand-drive vehicles only, which decides most of this table.
Model | Factory drive side | Registrable? | PK ask (used, 26 Jul 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
Model 3 | RHD built | Yes if RHD | Rs 1.05 - 1.37 crore |
Model Y | RHD built | Yes if RHD | Rs 3.00 - 3.50 crore |
Model S | RHD ended May 2023 | Pre-2023 RHD only | up to Rs 4.10 crore |
Model X | RHD ended May 2023 | Pre-2023 RHD only | none verified {/* VERIFY */} |
Cybertruck | RHD unconfirmed | Unlikely {/* VERIFY */} | none verified |
These are asks on a handful of listings, not a market. Ignore any site publishing a "Tesla price in Pakistan" table: those are international MSRPs converted to rupees, no duty or shipping included, and unobtainable.

Running cost per kilometre
At 17.6 kWh/100 km at the wall for a Model Y RWD (battery figure plus ~10% AC charging loss):
Electricity source | Tariff Rs/unit | Cost per km |
|---|---|---|
NEPRA off-peak EV tariff | 23.57 | Rs 4.15 |
Home slab, low end | 40 | Rs 7.04 |
Home slab, high end | 65 | Rs 11.44 |
Public DC fast charging | 110 - 120 | Rs 19.36 - 21.12 |
Rooftop solar, self-consumed | 0 marginal | ~Rs 0 |
Against petrol at Rs 331.52/litre (24 July 2026), an equivalent petrol SUV costs Rs 33.15/km at 10 km/L, Rs 27.63 at 12 km/L, Rs 23.68 at 14 km/L. So public DC charging is barely cheaper than petrol — an emergency, not a plan.
The SolarNevs line: rooftop charging is roughly Rs 0/km marginal once the panels are paid for. At 0.176 kWh/km and ~2.3 kWh/day from a 585W panel in Pakistani conditions, one panel covers about 13 km/day — 2 panels for 20 km/day, 4 for 40, 5 for 60, 7 for 80, 8 for 100.
Real range versus claimed
Claimed is 534 km WLTP. Pakistani owners across all EV brands report roughly 28% below claimed on motorways at speed with the AC on — about 385 km here. Plan on 300-330 km on a hot-season motorway run at 110-120 km/h, 370-385 km mixed.
The basis matters: there is no Pakistani Tesla owner sample worth quoting. The fleet is tiny and publishes no data, so those are our derating of European measurements. Anyone quoting "real Pakistani Tesla range" is making it up.
Battery replacement and warranty
No Tesla warranty is claimable in Pakistan — no service centre, nobody authorised to adjudicate a claim. Residual cover from the UK, Japan or the UAE exists on paper in another country. We could not verify Tesla's published terms (tesla.com blocks automated access), and it would not change the conclusion.
Battery replacement cost here is unpublished and unquotable. No authorised pack supplier, no local price list, and Tesla will not quote a non-market. An unbounded liability, and the single biggest reason we advise against the purchase.
Import duty, valid to 30 June 2027
The FY2026-27 structure for CBU electric vehicles is a cliff, not a taper:
Assessed import value | Customs duty | Additional customs duty | FED |
|---|---|---|---|
Up to Rs 20 million | 25% | 0% | 0% |
Rs 20 - 30 million | 30% | 4% | 30% |
Above Rs 30 million | 30% | 4% | 40% |
Crossing Rs 20 million takes headline levies from 25% to roughly 64%, on the whole value rather than the excess. Sales tax and advance income tax sit on top, and regulatory duty on used imports steps down from 40% to 30% on 1 July 2026, then 20%, 10% and zero by 2029.
Two things nobody volunteers: the assessed value is set by Customs, not your invoice, so none of this becomes a landed price in advance; and baggage, gift and transfer-of-residence imports are capped at three years from manufacture, RHD only.
Honest assessment
Pros. Efficient, quick, best-in-industry software. At 13-16 kWh/100 km it is cheaper per kilometre than almost any EV officially sold here.
Cons. No claimable warranty, no parts channel, no Supercharger, no trained workshop, no battery price, no resale reference, and a real risk a Model S, X or Cybertruck cannot be registered at all.
Who should buy. Someone with solar, a second car, local-only driving, and enough money that writing the car off would not hurt. A hobby purchase, not transport economics.
Pakistan reality
Charging network. NEECA licensing was reported at 71 stations in July 2025 with 128 applications pending; genuinely public, energised, reliable DC points are a fraction of that. {/* VERIFY */} Tesla operates zero Superchargers in Pakistan. Add load-shedding, which takes your home charger offline without notice.
Home charging after net billing. NEPRA replaced net metering with net billing in February 2026, cutting export buyback to about Rs 11/unit while import tariffs stayed above Rs 40. Exporting surplus is now poor economics; self-consumption is the best use of a rooftop array, and daytime EV charging is a near-ideal load. Prosumers signed before 9 February 2026 are grandfathered.
Monsoon and flood. EV packs are generally sealed to IP67, but we could not verify the rating on any imported unit. {/* VERIFY */} The universal rule holds: never restart or charge a submerged vehicle. Recover it on a flatbed and have it inspected. With no Tesla-trained assessor here, a flooded Tesla is effectively a write-off.
Price context
Officially imported BEV alternatives, 26 July 2026, each with a local distributor and service network: BYD Atto 3 Rs 8,990,000, BYD Seal Rs 14,790,000-16,990,000, BYD Sealion 7 Rs 15,490,000. Every one undercuts the observed Model Y asking band and comes with someone obliged to fix it.
We do not sell cars and take no dealer money.
Frequently asked questions
What duty will I pay on an imported Tesla?
Depends entirely on the value Customs assesses. Under Rs 20 million it is 25% customs duty, no additional customs duty and no FED. Above Rs 20 million it jumps to 30% plus 4% ACD plus 30-40% FED. Sales tax and advance income tax apply on top.
Can I import a Model S, Model X or Cybertruck?
Almost certainly not. Pakistan admits right-hand-drive vehicles only, and Tesla ended RHD Model S and Model X production in May 2023. Only Model 3 and Model Y are current RHD cars. Confirm drive side and registrability in writing first.
What does a Tesla cost to run per kilometre here?
On the Rs 23.57 off-peak EV tariff, about Rs 4.15/km for a Model Y RWD. On a Rs 40-65 home slab, Rs 7.04-11.44/km. On public DC at Rs 110-120, Rs 19.36-21.12/km. Petrol equivalent is roughly Rs 27/km.
What happens if the battery fails?
Nobody in Pakistan can tell you, and Tesla will not quote you. There is no published local replacement price, no authorised pack supplier and no trained workshop. This is the largest uncosted liability in the purchase and you should treat it as unbounded.
Will my Tesla charge at Pakistani public stations?
RHD Model 3 and Model Y use Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC connectors. Whether a given Pakistani public station presents CCS2 rather than GB/T is site-specific and we could not verify national coverage. Check the stations you would actually use before buying.
Is there any case for doing this?
One. You already own solar, you drive locally, you can absorb a total loss of the car's value, and you want this specific car for its own sake. That is a hobby purchase, not transport economics. Price it that way.
