This is the most-listed piece of EV charging hardware in Pakistan that is not bolted to a wall: a generic imported portable EVSE - an inline control box on a 5m Type 2 cable - rated 32A / 7.2kW. It is sold under no consistent brand name. As of 2 August 2026 the verified price picture is a spread, not a number: Rs 100,000 at EV Chargers Pakistan (cut from Rs 120,000, seven in stock, 1/3-year importer warranty) against a live Rs 29,000 ask on OLX Gujranwala for a "7KW Portable Ev Charger" with no warranty and no verifiable specification. Same claimed rating, 3.4x apart, same day.
We publish that spread rather than picking a number because the channel is the product here. The retail listing at least commits to specifications in writing - 32A, 220V ±10%, IP66, over-current protection, CE/TUV claimed, 10,000 mating cycles - and attaches an importer you can find again. The classifieds tier commits to nothing. There is no third tier: W11Stop, the biggest electronics retailer in this market, stocks no portable EVSE at all.

The one line you can verify yourself with arithmetic is the first - 7.2kW at 220V is ~32.7A, which is what the rest of this page is about.
Honest assessment
Pros. It does the same job as a 7kW wallbox for Rs 100,000 with zero installation: same Type 2 connector, same AC kilowatts into the car's onboard charger. It moves - between houses, to the in-laws, in the boot on a Murree trip where a 32A point exists. For renters, and for owners who got no free wallbox with the car, it is the cheapest warranted route to full-speed AC charging in Pakistan. And against its own class the price is right: the 3kW COPKA costs Rs 125,000 and the 3.68kW GK E16 Rs 150,000 - more money for half the rating.
Cons. The rating is theoretical in most Pakistani houses. 32A continuous needs a dedicated circuit and industrial socket that almost no home has, installed by an electrician for real money - and once you are paying an electrician, a wall-mounted RNR 7.4kW at Rs 108,000 closes the case for portability being worth anything. The retail listing does claim an amp-select button to down-rate the current - essential, because a 32A unit that cannot be dialled down is unusable on ordinary sockets - but like every other claim on the box, it is unverified until you press it: test the selector on collection. Every quality claim (IP66, TUV, mating cycles) is a listing claim with no paperwork shown. And the warranty is an importer's promise - real enough at EV Chargers Pakistan's price, nonexistent at OLX's.
Who should buy. An owner with (or willing to install) a genuine 32A supply point who wants full-speed AC without a fixed wallbox - renters above all. Buyers on an ordinary 13A socket and a 2-5kW sanctioned load should buy nothing yet: the granny cable in the car's boot already saturates what their wiring can deliver, for free. Nobody should buy the Rs 29,000 classifieds version to feed an eight-million-rupee EV - the entire discount is the removal of accountability.
Pakistan reality check
The socket is the product's real spec sheet. Pakistani homes run BS 1363-style 13A sockets; this unit wants ~32A continuously for hours. The honest installation path is a dedicated 32A breaker, appropriately sized cable, proper earthing and an industrial (CEE-type) socket - Rs 20,000-50,000 of electrician work per our home charger guide, identical to wallbox installation. Plugging any adapter chain between a 32A EVSE and a 13A wall socket is how sockets melt: a charger that runs continuously at even 16A will cook a tired 13A outlet, and "auto charge recovery" on the listing means the unit restarts charging after the power trips - useful under load-shedding, dangerous on an overloaded socket, because it will keep re-cooking it unattended.
Sanctioned load - the recurring bill. Since February 2026 domestic fixed charges are billed per kilowatt of sanctioned load. Most homes hold 2-5kW; running this unit at full output legitimately means a load extension, and the sanctioned-load arithmetic in our guide (up to Rs 6,750/month at the 10kW time-of-use band) applies to this Rs 100,000 portable exactly as it does to a Rs 300,000 Tesla wallbox. The DISCO does not care that your charger has a handle.
Load-shedding behaviour. The advertised auto charge recovery matters here: on scheduled outages the session resumes without you. But an EVSE has no voltage conditioning - on generator or low-voltage supply, charging at 32A is exactly when weak wiring fails. If your area sees deep voltage sag, charge at night at reduced current, not at full rating during peak stress hours.
What the car already gave you. Before spending Rs 100,000, check the boot. BYD's Pakistani Atto 3 listing states "Portable Charging Cable Included"; BYD, MG and Deepal campaign buyers may hold a free 7kW wallbox claim from booking (hub page has the dated campaign list). This unit's job is to be the upgrade when the in-box cable is genuinely too slow for your mileage - roughly, when you routinely need more than ~20kWh replaced per night.
Buying checklist for a no-name product. (1) Warranty term and seller name on a written invoice - the 1/3-year claim is worthless verbally. (2) Test the advertised amp-select button on collection and note which current steps it actually offers; a unit that will not down-rate below 32A is unusable on ordinary sockets. (3) Ask to see the CE/TUV certificate matching the model number - expect disappointment, adjust your offer accordingly. (4) Test on collection: the control box should display current and fault status, and the Type 2 head should latch firmly - 10,000 mating cycles is a claim, a wobbly head on day one is a fact.

The Rs 8,000 gap to the RNR wallbox is the number to sit with: portability is currently priced at almost nothing. If the charger will live its whole life on one wall, buy the wall unit. If it needs to move - rented house, job transfers, two homes - this is the cheapest warranted 7kW in the country, and the Rs 29,000 OLX version of it is the most expensive way to save Rs 71,000 that this market currently offers.

How long will it take to charge my car with this unit?
At a true 7.2kW, roughly 6.5 hours for an MG4 Urban's 43kWh pack and 7-9 hours for a BYD Atto 3's 49.92kWh Pakistan-spec pack (about 7 by arithmetic; PakWheels lists 9.0 hours for the full AC charge with losses and taper). Dialled down to 13A (~2.9kW) those become roughly 16 and 18 hours - which is why the 32A supply point question decides whether this purchase makes sense at all.
Is this better than the cable that came with my car?
Same idea, more current. The in-box OEM cable is typically 8-16A (1.8-3.5kW); this is a 32A version of the same Mode 2 concept - an inline control box on a Type 2 cable. If you have a 32A supply point it roughly halves-to-quarters your charge time versus the granny cable. If you do not, it adds little except the option to install one later.
What is the difference between this and a wallbox?
Kilowatts, nothing - both deliver up to 7.2-7.4kW AC. The wallbox is permanently wired (no socket-interface risk), can carry app scheduling, load management and installation paperwork, and at Rs 108,000 (RNR at W11Stop, wall-mounted, with cable) the price gap to this portable has essentially closed. The portable's genuine advantages are zero installation and that it moves with you - renters and transferable-job buyers are its real market.
